The tragic accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Rajasthan, killed 6 members of a single family, leaving two children sustaining injuries during the crash, after making a wrong U-turn by the truck driver, the car collided with the truck impacting the death of the six members of the family on the spot. The accident took place on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway near the Banas River bridge in the Sawai Madhopur district.
According to the police, the family was travelling from Shikar district to Ranthambore’s tribe tea Ganesh temple to offer prayers when the disaster occurred. The truck driver fled the scene, and police are currently searching for him. Victims have been identified as Manish Sharma, Anita Sharma, Poonam, Satish, Santosh, and Kailash.
The CCTV footage has been forfeited by police, in which the devastating accident happened, It shows the truck driver’s apparent recklessness. The vehicle is seen following the truck in the video when it suddenly does a U-turn, causing the automobile to crash fatally into the truck while it is moving at a high speed. The truck driver has been identified from the CCTV footage and teams have been dispatched to locate the accused driver said ASP. The body of the deceased family has been sent for postmortem. The injured children Manna and Deepali have been hospitalised and are currently in stable condition.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Diya Kumari expressed their grief for the deceased family and pledged assistance to those injured. Chief Minister Sharma posted a tweet stating “ The news of the death of six civilians in a terrible accident… is deeply upsetting… he has directed swift assistance to the affected family.” Deputy Diya Kumari also expressed her condolences on Twitter, stating “ Sad news was received regarding the loss of six people in a horrible accident… I wish the injured speedy recovery.”
