गुमला : – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय करौंदी मालवीय नगर, और गुमला जिला मुख्यालय से लगभग 10 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित नागफनी ग्राम के कोई नदी तट पर स्थित दोनों मेलाटांड़ और महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी मंदिर में भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी, बहन सुभद्रा और भाई बलराम स्वामी विराजमान थें ,जहाँ प्रातः होते ही भक्तगणों. की भीड़ उमड पड़ी और देखते ही देखते भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी, माता सुभद्रा, और भगवान बलराम स्वामी मंदिर परिसर और मेलाटांड़ में हर जगह भीड़ ही भीड़ नजर आ रही थी, बड़े – बुजुर्ग, नर – नारी, युवक युक्तियाँ, और नन्हे मुन्ने बच्चे बच्चियाँ अपनी परंपरागत वेशभूषा में भगवान जगन्नाथ स्वामी मंदिर में समस्त भक्तों ने श्रद्धा भक्ति के साथ माथा टेक और पूजा अर्चना की, पूजा अर्चना के बाद सभी लोग मेलाटांड़ स्थित रामढुलवा ( झुलवा ) मिठाई की दुकान में तरह-तरह के व्यंजन , चाऊमीन, चाट की दुकान में दही बड़ा, आलू काटा, आलू चौप – फूचका ( पानीपुरी – गोलगप्पा ) का आनंद उठाते नजर आए और घर के लिए मिठाई, बच्चों का खिलौना, महिलाएं – युतियाँ अपने, अपने लिए विभिन्न आकार प्रकार के सिंगर का सामान खरीदते नजर आए, मेलाटांड़ में जगह-जगह पर विभिन्न संगठनों और एनजीओ द्वारा अपने अपने संगठनों से जुड़े कार्यक्रम और प्रचार प्रसार करते नजर आए, और अंततः भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी – बहन सुभद्रा – भाई बलराम स्वामी को मंत्र उच्चारण और भक्ति भाव से, पूजा अर्चना करते हुए. रथ पर बैठाया गया और रथ यात्रा निकाली गई, भगवान के रथ को खींचने की होड़ लगी हुई थी, उक्त रथ को खींचकर मौसी बड़ी तक पहुंचाया गया, जहां भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी अपनी मौसी के घर पहुंचे जहाँ भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी 15 दिनों तक अपने स्वास्थ्य लाभ और एकांतवास में रहेंगे और 15 दिन बाद फिर इसी प्रक्रिया को दोहराते हुए घुरती रथ मेला के दिन भगवान महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ स्वामी, बहन सुभद्रा और भाई बलराम स्वामी उक्त रथ पर सवार होकर अपने निवास स्थान मंदिर में पुनः विराजमान होंगे l
