जरीडीह के मुखिया ने एसडीओ को सौंपा ज्ञापन, पुराने मीटर से बिलिंग बहाल करने की मांग
गोमिया—बेरमो अनुमंडल अंतर्गत ग्राम पंचायत जरीडीह पूर्वी एवं जरीडीह पश्चिमी में स्मार्ट मीटर लगाए जाने के बाद उपभोक्ताओं को दोगुना-तिगुना बिजली बिल मिलने की शिकायतों से ग्रामीणों में भारी आक्रोश है। बढ़े हुए बिजली बिल से परेशान ग्रामीणों ने स्मार्ट मीटर हटाकर पुराने मीटर से ही बिजली बिल की मापी कराने की मांग की है।
इस संबंध में मंगलवार को जरीडीह पश्चिमी के मुखिया ने अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी मनोज कुमार तथा अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी रविंदर कुमार सिंह को ज्ञापन सौंपा। ज्ञापन में कहा गया है कि स्मार्ट मीटर लगने से पहले बिजली बिल सामान्य एवं संतुलित आता था, लेकिन नए मीटर लगाए जाने के बाद बिजली की खपत कम होने के बावजूद बिल में अप्रत्याशित वृद्धि हो रही है।
मुखिया ने बताया कि त्रुटिपूर्ण एवं अत्यधिक बिजली बिल के कारण आम उपभोक्ताओं, विशेषकर गरीब और निम्न आय वर्ग के परिवारों पर अतिरिक्त आर्थिक बोझ पड़ रहा है। इससे ग्रामीणों में असंतोष लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है।
उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि जरीडीह मौजा के दोनों पंचायतों की ग्राम सभा में भी यह मुद्दा प्रमुखता से उठाया गया। ग्रामीणों ने सर्वसम्मति से स्मार्ट मीटर हटाकर पुराने मीटर के माध्यम से बिजली बिल जारी करने की मांग की है।
ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से स्मार्ट मीटर से संबंधित शिकायतों की निष्पक्ष जांच कर उपभोक्ताओं को राहत दिलाने तथा पुराने मीटर से बिजली बिल की व्यवस्था पुनः लागू करने की मांग की है।
