गोमिया – रथ यात्रा पर पिट्स मॉडर्न स्कूल में मॉडर्न स्कूल में gomia—बुधवार को रथ यात्रा के अवसर पर प्रातःकालीन सभा के दौरान सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत गणेश वंदना से हुई। कक्षा आठवीं ‘स’ की छात्रा निधि कुमारी ने सभा का संचालन किया, जबकि मानवी साव ने रथ यात्रा के धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला।
कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण कक्षा पांचवीं के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा भगवान जगन्नाथ, भगवान बलभद्र एवं देवी सुभद्रा की आकर्षक झांकी रही। पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में सजे विद्यार्थियों ने रथ यात्रा का सजीव मंचन कर उपस्थित लोगों की खूब सराहना बटोरी।
विद्यालय के प्राचार्य बृज मोहन लाल दास ने विद्यार्थियों को भारतीय संस्कृति, अनुशासन, समरसता एवं सेवा भाव को जीवन में अपनाने का संदेश दिया। विद्यालय प्रबंधन समिति के उपाध्यक्ष अरिंदम दासगुप्ता ने विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकों के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए सांस्कृतिक विरासत से जुड़े रहने का आह्वान किया। आईईपीएल (ओरिका), गोमिया के एमसीएम अभिषेक विश्वास ने भी विद्यार्थियों के प्रदर्शन की प्रशंसा करते हुए रथ यात्रा के आदर्शों को जीवन में अपनाने की बात कही।
कार्यक्रम का समापन राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ। विद्यालय परिसर पूरे समय भक्तिमय एवं सांस्कृतिक माहौल से सराबोर रहा।
