पलानी बस्ती में जमीन के नीचे से उठीं आग की लपटें, ग्रामीणों में दहशत

गोमिया__ कथारा बांध पंचायत के पलानी बस्ती के समीप गुरुवार की सुबह अचानक जमीन के भीतर से आग की तेज लपटें निकलने लगीं। जमीन से निकलती आग को देखकर आसपास के ग्रामीणों में हड़कंप मच गया। देखते ही देखते मौके पर लोगों की भीड़ जुट गई। करीब 10 मीटर के दायरे में जमीन से लगातार आग निकलने की घटना ने ग्रामीणों की चिंता बढ़ा दी है।
स्थानीय निवासी इस्लाम अंसारी के अनुसार, बुधवार की सुबह इसी स्थान पर जमीन से पानी के बुलबुले निकलते दिखाई दिए थे। उस समय किसी ने इसे गंभीरता से नहीं लिया। लेकिन अगले ही दिन गुरुवार की सुबह उसी जगह से अचानक आग की लपटें उठने लगीं। कुछ ही समय में आग की लपटें तेज हो गईं और आसपास का इलाका गर्म हो उठा।
फायर ब्रिगेड ने किया आग बुझाने का प्रयास
घटना की सूचना मिलने के बाद ओएनजीसी की ओर से फायर ब्रिगेड की टीम मौके पर पहुंची। टीम ने आग बुझाने का प्रयास किया, लेकिन जमीन के भीतर से लगातार आग निकलने के कारण आग को पूरी तरह नियंत्रित करना आसान नहीं रहा। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि आग धीरे-धीरे बढ़ती दिखाई दे रही है, जिससे किसी बड़े हादसे की आशंका बनी हुई है।
आग के स्रोत को लेकर कई सवाल
जमीन के भीतर से अचानक आग निकलने की घटना को लेकर ग्रामीणों में तरह-तरह की चर्चाएं शुरू हो गई हैं। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस क्षेत्र में पहले भी जमीन के नीचे गैस अथवा किसी ज्वलनशील पदार्थ के होने की चर्चा होती रही है। हालांकि, जमीन से आग निकलने का वास्तविक कारण क्या है और इसके पीछे कौन-सी गैस या ज्वलनशील पदार्थ जिम्मेदार है, इसकी आधिकारिक पुष्टि अभी नहीं हुई है।
प्रशासन से तत्काल जांच की मांग
ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन, ओएनजीसी और संबंधित विभाग के अधिकारियों से तत्काल मौके का निरीक्षण कराने की मांग की है। लोगों का कहना है कि विशेषज्ञों की टीम जमीन के भीतर की स्थिति की जांच कर आग के वास्तविक स्रोत और कारण का पता लगाए। साथ ही, आसपास रहने वाले लोगों की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए आवश्यक एहतियाती कदम उठाए जाएं।
ग्रामीणों ने आशंका जताई कि यदि आग पर समय रहते पूरी तरह काबू नहीं पाया गया तो इसके फैलने से आसपास के क्षेत्र में जान-माल का खतरा उत्पन्न हो सकता है। फिलहाल जमीन के भीतर से निकल रही आग को लेकर पूरे पलानी बस्ती में भय और उत्सुकता का माहौल बना हुआ है।
