अनदेखी और असंवेदनशीलता की हद: नेत्रहीन बुज़ुर्ग मां को बेटे ने सड़क किनारे छोड़ भागा, गुमला पुलिस जांच में जुटी

गुमला, 8 जून — मानवता को शर्मसार करने वाली घटना मंगलवार को गुमला सदर थाना क्षेत्र के बेहरा टोली में सामने आई, जहाँ एक 80 वर्षीय नेत्रहीन बुज़ुर्ग महिला को उसके बेटे द्वारा सड़क किनारे अकेला छोड़ देने का मामला सामने आया है। बुज़ुर्ग महिला की पहचान करियो देवी, निवासी छारदा, सिसई थाना क्षेत्र के रूप में हुई है।

स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि महिला को अपराह्न 4 बजे से लेकर देर शाम तक नदी किनारे अकेले बैठे देखा गया। जब आसपास के लोगों ने पास जाकर स्थिति जाननी चाही तो महिला ने बताया कि उसका बेटा लालमन गोप उसे एक टेंपो में बिठाकर यहां लाया और अनजान स्थान पर छोड़कर चला गया। महिला ने यह भी बताया कि उसकी दृष्टि कमजोर है और उसे यह भी नहीं पता कि वह किस जगह पर हैं।

करियो देवी ने यह भी जानकारी दी कि वह अपने बेटे, बहू और एक भतीजे के साथ रहती हैं। भतीजा पेशे से अमीन है। घटना से आहत ग्रामीणों ने बुज़ुर्ग महिला को भोजन और पानी उपलब्ध कराया और उन्हें अस्थायी आश्रय भी दिया।

घटना की जानकारी गुमला सदर थाना पुलिस को दी गई, जिसके बाद पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और करियो देवी को संरक्षण में लिया गया। अब पुलिस इस पूरे मामले की पृष्ठभूमि की जांच में जुट गई है कि आखिर ऐसा अमानवीय कृत्य क्यों किया गया। क्या यह सिर्फ लापरवाही थी, या इसके पीछे कोई जमीन-जायदाद या पारिवारिक विवाद है?

पुलिस सूत्रों ने संकेत दिए हैं कि इस मामले में साजिश या षड्यंत्र की भी आशंका है। गहन पूछताछ के बाद ही स्पष्ट हो पाएगा कि करियो देवी को इस हालत में सड़क किनारे छोड़ने के पीछे बेटा लालमन गोप का उद्देश्य क्या था।

इस पूरे घटनाक्रम ने एक बार फिर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं कि संस्कार और संवेदनशीलता के बग़ैर समाज कितना आगे जा सकता है।
