गुमला: सिसई के बी.एन. जालान कॉलेज में चल रहे NCC शिविर में कैडेट्स और विद्यार्थियों को स्वस्थ जीवन और नशे से दूर रहने का संदेश दिया गया। खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग और तंबाकू नियंत्रण प्रकोष्ठ की ओर से यहां संयुक्त जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें 500 से ज्यादा NCC कैडेट्स और विद्यार्थियों ने हिस्सा लिया।

कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी, कुमार प्रभाकर, आशा राज और तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो ने किया।

मिलावटी दूध की पहचान का तरीका बताया

कार्यक्रम के दौरान अधिकारियों ने कैडेट्स को साफ-सुथरा भोजन, संतुलित आहार, खाद्य पदार्थों की गुणवत्ता और उपभोक्ता अधिकारों के बारे में जानकारी दी।

कैडेट्स को दूध और दूध से बने उत्पादों में होने वाली स्टार्च की मिलावट पहचानने का तरीका भी बताया गया। इसके लिए आयोडीन टिंक्चर टेस्ट की जानकारी दी गई।

बताया गया कि दूध के नमूने में आयोडीन की कुछ बूंदें डालने पर अगर उसका रंग नीला हो जाए तो दूध में स्टार्च की मिलावट होने का संकेत मिलता है।

कम तेल, चीनी और नमक लेने की सलाह

कैडेट्स को फोर्टिफाइड फूड और ‘ईट राइट इंडिया’ अभियान के बारे में भी जानकारी दी गई। साथ ही ‘आज से थोड़ा कम तेल, चीनी और नमक’ जैसे अभियानों के बारे में बताते हुए रोजमर्रा के खान-पान में पौष्टिक और संतुलित भोजन को शामिल करने की सलाह दी गई।

तंबाकू से होने वाले नुकसान भी बताए

तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो ने कैडेट्स को तंबाकू और धूम्रपान के नुकसान के बारे में बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि तंबाकू के सेवन से कैंसर, हृदय रोग, फेफड़ों में संक्रमण और सांस से जुड़ी गंभीर बीमारियों का खतरा बढ़ता है।

उन्होंने खास तौर पर युवाओं में बढ़ती नशे की आदत पर चिंता जताई। कैडेट्स को बताया गया कि बीड़ी, सिगरेट, खैनी और गुटखा जैसे किसी भी तंबाकू उत्पाद का सेवन स्वास्थ्य के लिए बेहद नुकसानदायक है।

उन्होंने NCC कैडेट्स से अपील की कि वे खुद नशे से दूर रहें और अपने परिवार और आसपास के लोगों को भी तंबाकू छोड़ने के लिए जागरूक करें। उन्होंने कैडेट्स को समाज को तंबाकू मुक्त बनाने में ‘एंटी-टोबैको वॉरियर’ की भूमिका निभाने का संदेश दिया।

सभी ने लिया स्वस्थ रहने का संकल्प

कार्यक्रम के अंत में अधिकारियों, शिक्षकों, NCC कैडेट्स और विद्यार्थियों ने मिलकर स्वस्थ और सुरक्षित भोजन अपनाने का संकल्प लिया। सभी ने खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट को लेकर सतर्क रहने और समाज को तंबाकू व नशे से मुक्त बनाने में योगदान देने की शपथ भी ली।
