पालकोट उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में डॉक्टर की अनुपस्थिति से रोज हो रही है मौतें

पालकोट उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में डॉक्टर न होने के कारण रोज किसी न किसी की जान जा रही है। इस स्थिति से आम नागरिकों में काफी आक्रोश है। ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि सिविल सर्जन ने कई बार पालकोट उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में डॉक्टर देने का वादा किया, लेकिन वर्षों से कोई डॉक्टर नहीं आया।

गुमला सदर अस्पताल के सिविल सर्जन की लापरवाही, अकर्मण्यता और शिथिलता के कारण एक बच्ची की जान चली गई। गुमला जिले के पालकोट प्रखंड के उत्तरी भाग पंचायत के शाही चट्टान गांव की दो सगी बहनें अपने गांव के पास स्थित चेक डैम में नहाने गई थीं। इसी दौरान, एक बहन की मौत हो गई। जानकारी के अनुसार, बसिया थाना क्षेत्र के कोनवीर भंडार टोली गांव निवासी जोहन कुल्लू की दो बेटियाँ, आलमा कुल्लू (12 वर्ष) और अंजेला कुल्लू (7 वर्ष), अपने नाना-नानी के घर शाही चट्टान में मेहमान आई हुई थीं। रविवार की दोपहर, दोनों बहनें गांव के पास स्थित चेक डैम में नहाने चली गईं और गहरे पानी में डूबने लगीं।

ग्रामीणों ने इसकी सूचना परिजनों को दी और दोनों बहनों को अचेत अवस्था में पालकोट उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाया गया। वहां डॉक्टर न होने के कारण स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों ने प्राथमिक उपचार किया। इस दौरान छोटी बहन अंजेला कुल्लू की मौत हो गई, जिससे परिजनों में कोहराम मच गया। बड़ी बहन आलमा कुल्लू को बचाने के लिए परिजनों ने 108 एंबुलेंस को फोन किया, लेकिन उन्हें बताया गया कि एंबुलेंस गुमला में है। इस पर पीड़ित परिवार काफी आक्रोशित हो गया, लेकिन कुछ कर नहीं सका। अंततः परिवारजन आलमा को अपने निजी वाहन से गुमला सदर अस्पताल ले गए।

पालकोट प्रखंड के सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में भी अक्सर डॉक्टर नहीं रहते, जिससे लोगों में आक्रोश है। अंजेला कुल्लू की मौत से उसके परिवारवालों का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है। चिकित्सा विभाग की अकर्मण्यता और कार्य शिथिलता के कारण हर दिन किसी न किसी व्यक्ति की मौत हो रही है, लेकिन इसका समाधान करने वाला कोई नहीं है।
