हाथी प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में वाइल्डलाइफ एक्सपर्ट ने दिया हाथी भगाने का विशेष प्रशिक्षण

गुमला: गुमला जिले के चैनपुर थाना क्षेत्र के हुटार, बुकमा और जारी थाना क्षेत्र के श्रीनगर गांव सहित आस-पास के क्षेत्रों में वाइल्डलाइफ एक्सपर्ट की एक टीम ने ग्रामीणों को जंगली हाथियों को सुरक्षित तरीके से अपने गांव और खेतों से भगाने का प्रशिक्षण दिया। इस मौके पर वाइल्डलाइफ एक्सपर्ट डा. रूद्रादित्य ने ग्रामीणों को हाथियों से निपटने के सुरक्षित और प्रभावी तरीके सिखाए।

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान दिए गए सुझाव

डा. रूद्रादित्य ने बताया कि जब हाथियों का झुंड गांव में प्रवेश करे, तो उन्हें पत्थर या तीर जैसे हथियारों से न मारें, क्योंकि इससे हाथी उग्र हो सकते हैं और हमला कर सकते हैं। इसके बजाय मशाल का उपयोग करना एक सुरक्षित तरीका है। उन्होंने समझाया कि हाथियों को भगाने के लिए मिर्च की गंध का भी प्रभावी उपयोग किया जा सकता है। इसके लिए ग्रामीणों को सलाह दी गई कि वे अपने खेतों में मिर्च को बोरे में लपेटकर डंडे के सहारे खेत में गाड़ दें और उसे जलाकर मिर्च की गंध फैलाएं। यह गंध हाथियों को जंगल की ओर भगाने में मदद करेगी।

हाथियों के नजदीक जाने से बचें

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान यह भी बताया गया कि हाथियों को भगाने के समय उनके बहुत नजदीक न जाएं और रात के समय हमेशा टार्च और मशाल का उपयोग करें। पत्थर फेंकने या अन्य आक्रामक तरीके अपनाने से बचें, क्योंकि इससे हाथी आक्रामक हो सकते हैं, जो जान-माल के लिए खतरा बन सकता है।

मुआवजे के लिए वन विभाग से संपर्क करें

हाथियों द्वारा किसी के घर या फसल को नुकसान पहुंचाने पर ग्रामीणों को सलाह दी गई कि वे तत्काल इसका आवेदन वन विभाग में जमा करें, ताकि उन्हें समय पर मुआवजा मिल सके।

इस मौके पर चैनपुर वनरक्षी टीम और बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय ग्रामीण भी उपस्थित थे।
