गुमला: पुलिस ने बसिया थाना क्षेत्र में कार्रवाई करते हुए एक गांजा तस्कर को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के पास से 9.93 किलोग्राम गांजा बरामद किया गया। पूछताछ के बाद आरोपी को न्यायालय में पेश कर गुमला जेल भेज दिया गया।
गश्ती के दौरान संदिग्ध गतिविधि पर हुई गिरफ्तारी
बसिया एसडीपीओ नजीर अख्तर ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बताया कि सहायक अवर निरीक्षक (सअनि) शिवलाल मुर्मू, आरक्षी मांगू उरांव और रैमन कच्छप (निजी चालक) 20 मार्च की रात गश्ती पर थे। इसी दौरान रात 3:00 बजे बसिया रेफरल अस्पताल के समीप सरहुल मैदान के पास रांची-सिमडेगा मुख्य मार्ग पर एक व्यक्ति संदिग्ध अवस्था में खड़ा था। पुलिस दल ने जब उससे पूछताछ करनी चाही तो वह जवाब देने के बजाय एक प्लास्टिक का बोरा छोड़कर भागने लगा।
मौके से गांजा बरामद, आरोपी की पहचान
पुलिस टीम ने तत्काल कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी को खदेड़कर पकड़ लिया। पूछताछ में उसने अपना नाम आशुतोष कुमार मिश्रा (45 वर्ष), पिता – राजेंद्र मिश्रा, निवासी – करर कला, थाना पाटन, जिला पलामू बताया। इस बीच, बसिया थाना प्रभारी युधिष्ठिर कुमार प्रजापति और रिजर्व गार्ड के जवान घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे और बोरे की तलाशी लेने पर उसमें कागज और पन्नी में लपेटे हुए पांच पैकेट गांजा बरामद हुआ, जिसका कुल वजन 9.93 किलोग्राम था।
न्यायालय में पेशी के बाद आरोपी गुमला जेल भेजा गया
पुलिस ने आरोपी को विधिवत गिरफ्तार कर बसिया थाना लाया और आवश्यक पूछताछ के बाद मीडिया के समक्ष पेश किया। बाद में उसे न्यायालय में प्रस्तुत कर गुमला जेल भेज दिया गया।
पुलिस प्रशासन ने बताया कि मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी पर रोक लगाने के लिए लगातार निगरानी बढ़ाई जा रही है और इस तरह के मामलों में सख्त कार्रवाई जारी रहेगी।
