गुमला : उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित एवं पुलिस अधीक्षक हरीश बिन ज़मां के निर्देशानुसार आज गुरुवार को चैनपुर चौक पर सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता अभियान के तहत मोटरसाइकिल चालकों की जांच एवं मार्गदर्शन अभियान चलाया गया। इस दौरान मोटरयान निरीक्षक रॉबिन अजय सिंह के नेतृत्व में एवं सड़क सुरक्षा प्रबंधक कुमार प्रभाष के सहयोग से दोपहर 12:30 बजे से 01:30 बजे तक विशेष वाहन जांच अभियान चलाया गया।
जांच अभियान के दौरान 25 से 30 मोटरसाइकिल चालकों को ट्रैफिक नियमों के पालन, हेलमेट पहनने, वैध दस्तावेज रखने, बीमा एवं प्रदूषण प्रमाण पत्र जैसे अनिवार्य कागजातों की अनिवार्यता के संबंध में जागरूक किया गया। सड़क सुरक्षा टीम द्वारा मौके पर रोड सेफ्टी काउंसलिंग भी की गई, जिसमें चालकों को यह बताया गया कि सुरक्षा उपकरणों का उपयोग न केवल स्वयं की, बल्कि दूसरों की जान बचाने में भी सहायक होता है।
जांच के क्रम में वाहनों के दस्तावेजों की जांच की गई और जिन चालकों के पास आवश्यक कागजात उपलब्ध नहीं थे, उनके विरुद्ध परिवहन अधिनियम के अंतर्गत दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की गई। इस दौरान कुल ₹39,000 की दंड राशि वसूली की गई।
ज्ञात हो कि बिना हेलमेट वाहन चलाने पर ₹1000, बिना ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस के ₹5000, बीमा रहित वाहन पर ₹2000, प्रदूषण प्रमाण पत्र के बिना ₹1000 तथा बिना वैध स्वामित्व दस्तावेज के वाहन संचालन पर ₹5000 तक का जुर्माना निर्धारित है।
इस अभियान का उद्देश्य सड़क दुर्घटनाओं की रोकथाम हेतु लोगों को नियमों के प्रति जागरूक करना एवं जिम्मेदार वाहन चलाने हेतु प्रोत्साहित करना था।
कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन में मोटरयान निरीक्षक रॉबिन अजय सिंह, सड़क सुरक्षा प्रबंधक श कुमार प्रभाष, मंटू रवानी, प्रिंस कुमार एवं पुलिस बल की सक्रिय भूमिका रही।
