गुमला जिले में लगातार बढ़ती सड़क दुर्घटनाओं पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए प्रशासन ने विशेष सड़क सुरक्षा अभियान चलाया। उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित और पुलिस अधीक्षक हरिश बिन जामां के निर्देश पर यह अभियान घाघरा थाना क्षेत्र के देवाकी गांव में मोटरयान निरीक्षक रॉबिन अजय सिंह की अगुवाई में संचालित हुआ।
नियम तोड़ने वालों पर सख्त कार्रवाई
अभियान के दौरान बिना हेलमेट और ट्रिपल राइडिंग करने वाले दोपहिया वाहन चालकों पर कार्रवाई की गई। वहीं ओवरलोडेड ट्रक और बॉक्साइट वाहनों की भी जांच हुई। जिन वाहनों के पास ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, बीमा पत्र, परमिट, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण प्रमाणपत्र (PUC) और रोड टैक्स जैसे आवश्यक दस्तावेज नहीं मिले, उन पर तुरंत जुर्माना लगाया गया। इसके अलावा प्रेशर हॉर्न और मल्टी-टोन हॉर्न का इस्तेमाल करने वाले वाहन चालकों पर भी सख्ती बरती गई।
चालकों को दी गई जागरूकता
कार्रवाई के साथ-साथ चालकों को सड़क सुरक्षा के महत्व के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। मोटरयान निरीक्षक रॉबिन अजय सिंह ने वाहन चालकों को समझाया कि नियम तोड़ने से दुर्घटनाओं की आशंका कई गुना बढ़ जाती है। उन्होंने चालकों से अपील की कि वे भविष्य में यातायात नियमों का पालन करें और दूसरों को भी जागरूक करें।
₹91,750 का वसूला गया जुर्माना
अभियान के दौरान 52 वाहन चालकों से कुल ₹91,750 (इक्यानबे हजार सात सौ पचास रुपये) का जुर्माना वसूला गया। अधिकारियों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि भविष्य में भी नियमों का उल्लंघन किया गया, तो और कठोर दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
सुरक्षित यातायात ही प्राथमिकता
उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित ने कहा कि इस तरह के अभियान जिले में अनुशासित यातायात व्यवस्था कायम करने और सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में कमी लाने के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक हैं। उन्होंने भरोसा दिलाया कि भविष्य में भी जागरूकता और सघन जांच अभियान नियमित रूप से चलाए जाएंगे ताकि गुमला जिले में लोग सुरक्षित और जिम्मेदार ढंग से यात्रा कर सकें।
