जंगली हाथी का तांडव, दुकानों और घरों को पहुंचाया नुकसान

गुमला : – जिला में लगातार विचरण कर रहे हैं अलग-अलग क्षेत्र में जंगली हांथी मचा रहे हैं आतंक, सारंडा जंगल से प्रत्येक वर्ष आते हैं जंगली हाथियों का झुंड, हाथियों की विशेषता है कि वह अपने आने जाने वाले रास्ते को नहीं बोलते हैं और प्रत्येक वर्ष धान फसल के वक्त गुमला जिला, लोहरदगा जिला, सिमडेगा जिला और खूंटी जिला के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में जंगली हांथी आतंक मचाते रहते हैं, वन विभाग आक्रमान्यता और कार्य शिथिलता के कारण विशेषकर वन क्षेत्रों के आसपास निवास करने वाले ग्रामीणों का जीना दुभर हो गया हैं फिर भी वन विभाग मूक दर्शक बनी हुई हैं,



रविवार की देर रात्रि घाघरा थाना क्षेत्र के जमगाई, लफ़सर और आदर गांवों में एक विशालकाय जंगली हाथी ने जमकर उत्पात मचाया, पहले उक्त हाँथी ने जमगाई और लफ़सर गांव पहुंचा, जहां दो मकानों की दीवारों और छत को तोड़कर नुकसान पहुंचाया, अचानक हुए इस उत्पात से सहमें हुए लोग भयभीत होकर अपने-अपने घरों से बाहर निकल आए, ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, हाथी रात्रि लगभग 11 बजे लफ़सर गांव से होते हुए आदर गांव की ओर बढ़ गया, और उक्त गांव के वन विभाग कार्यालय से महज 20 गज की दूरी पर स्थित श्रीमाली बीज भंडार और रिया शू हाउस की दुकानों के लोहे के शटर तोड़ डाले, इसके बाद दुकान में रखे धान बीज के बोरे को फाड़कर उसे खा गया, जिससे दुकानदारों को हजारों रुपए का नुकसान हुआ, उक्त जंगली हाँथी की गर्जना और शटर टूटने की आवाजें सुनकर पूरे गांव में अफरा-तफरी मच गया, ग्रामीणों ने एकजुट होकर शोर मचाते हुए टॉर्च और ड्रम बजाकर हाथी को भगाने का प्रयास करने पर उक्त जंगली हाँथी आदर गांव स्थित हाई स्कूल और टोंगरी क्षेत्र से होते हुए जंगल की ओर भाग गया, घटना की सूचना पाकर वन विभागकर्मी पहुंचे और जंगली हाँथी की गतिविधियों की निगरानी शुरू की और ग्रामीणों से अपील की कि वह हाथी के पास न जाएं और किसी भी परिस्थिति में उसे उकसाने का प्रयास न करें। विभाग ने हाँथी को सुरक्षित जंगल की ओर लौटाने के लिए रेस्क्यू अभियान भी शुरू किया है, फिलहाल आदर, जमगाई और आस-पास के गांवों में दहशत का माहौल है, कई ग्रामीण अब भी चौकसी में हैं और रात में बारी-बारी से जागकर हाथी की संभावित वापसी पर नजर रख रहे हैं।
