गुमला — फाइलेरिया (हाथीपांव) रोग की रोकथाम और नियंत्रण के तहत गुमला जिले के मथ तुरियाम्बा (वार्ड-04), एचएससी–मासिया और सीएचसी–भरनो में नाइट ब्लड सर्वे कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस सर्वे का उद्देश्य माइक्रोफाइलेरिया परजीवी की उपस्थिति का सटीक आकलन करना था, जो रात के समय रक्त में अधिक सक्रिय रहता है।
रात में किए जाने वाले रक्त परीक्षण से स्वास्थ्य विभाग को संक्रमण की वास्तविक स्थिति समझने, दवा वितरण रणनीति तय करने और फाइलेरिया नियंत्रण कार्यक्रम को और प्रभावी बनाने में मदद मिलती है।
कार्यक्रम के तहत कुल 106 रक्त स्लाइड्स एकत्र किए गए। नाइट सर्वे देर रात तक चला, जिसमें स्थानीय स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों और सहयोगी दलों ने सक्रिय भागीदारी की। इस अभियान में पीरामल फाउंडेशन ने भी महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग दिया, जिसमें स्थल समन्वय, तकनीकी सहायता और टीम को प्रोत्साहन शामिल था।
यह प्रयास गुमला जिले में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन मिशन को सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में एक सराहनीय पहल माना जा रहा है।
सर्वे में भरत चंद्र दास, संतोष कुमार, शिवनाथ उरांव, प्रवीन कुमार, महेंद्र उरांव, प्रभात कुमार, सुचित कुमार, विनोद टिग्गा, विक्रम एक्का (एमपीडब्ल्यू), सहिया मंजू देवी, सेविका किरण कुमारी, वालंटियर पूजा उरांव (JSLPS) और जल सहिया सरिता उरांव ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।
