गुमलाः सड़क सुरक्षा को मजबूत बनाने और जिले में बढ़ती सड़क दुर्घटनाओं पर रोक लगाने के उद्देश्य से जिला प्रशासन ने सोमवार को विशेष सड़क सुरक्षा अभियान चलाया। उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देश पर मोटरयान निरीक्षक (MVI) प्रदीप कुमार तिर्की के नेतृत्व में यह अभियान रायडीह थाना क्षेत्र के पतराटोली में संचालित हुआ।
अभियान के दौरान दोपहिया वाहन चालकों पर बिना हेलमेट चलाने और ट्रिपल राइडिंग जैसे गंभीर नियम उल्लंघनों पर त्वरित कार्रवाई की गई। साथ ही ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, इंश्योरेंस, परमिट, रोड टैक्स और पॉल्यूशन अंडर कंट्रोल (PUC) जैसे अनिवार्य दस्तावेजों की जांच की गई। दस्तावेजों के अभाव में पकड़े गए वाहनों पर तत्परता से दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की गई।
इसके अतिरिक्त, मालवाहक वाहनों में ओवरलोडिंग तथा सड़क सुरक्षा के लिए खतरनाक प्रेशर हॉर्न और मल्टी-टोन हॉर्न के इस्तेमाल पर भी सख्ती दिखाई गई।
इस सघन जांच अभियान में कुल 88 वाहनों पर कार्रवाई की गई और कानूनी प्रावधानों के तहत ₹1,35,500/- (एक लाख पैंतीस हजार पांच सौ रुपये) का जुर्माना वसूला गया। जांच के दौरान नियम तोड़ने वालों को भविष्य में यातायात नियमों का पालन सुनिश्चित करने की सख्त चेतावनी भी दी गई।
जिला प्रशासन ने कहा कि सुरक्षित और अनुशासित यातायात प्रणाली स्थापित करना उनकी प्राथमिकता है। आने वाले दिनों में भी ऐसे अभियान नियमित रूप से चलाए जाएंगे और नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वालों के खिलाफ और कठोर कदम उठाए जाएंगे।
प्रशासन ने जिलेवासियों से अपील की है कि वे स्वयं सुरक्षित रहें और दूसरों की सुरक्षा का ध्यान रखते हुए यातायात नियमों का पालन अवश्य करें।
