गुमला। सदर प्रखंड के टोटो थाना क्षेत्र स्थित नवाटोली ग्राम में मंगलवार को एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना सामने आई। मानसिक रूप से विक्षिप्त एक व्यक्ति ने मामूली विवाद के बाद अपनी पत्नी की कुल्हाड़ी से हमला कर हत्या कर दी। ग्रामीणों द्वारा सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया।
घटना के संबंध में मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, मृतका 39 वर्षीय सरोज उरांव अपने घर में खाना निकाल रही थी। इसी दौरान उसका मानसिक रूप से असामान्य पति संदीप उरांव घर से भागने लगा। पत्नी उसे आधे रास्ते से पकड़कर घर ले आई, जिसके बाद दोनों में किसी बात को लेकर विवाद शुरू हो गया।
इसी बीच गुस्से में आए संदीप उरांव ने घर में रखी कुल्हाड़ी उठाकर पत्नी के सिर पर जोरदार वार कर दिया, जिससे सरोज उरांव की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही ग्रामीणों ने तुरंत टोटो थाना पुलिस को खबर दी।
सूचना पर एसडीपीओ प्रसाद यादव, गुमला थाना प्रभारी महेंद्र कुमार करमाली और टोटो थाना प्रभारी उदेश्वर कुमार अपनी टीम के साथ घटनास्थल पहुंचे और आरोपी पति को विधिवत गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
पुलिस ने हत्या में इस्तेमाल की गई कुल्हाड़ी भी बरामद कर ली है।
पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम हेतु गुमला सदर अस्पताल भेजा। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद मृतका का शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया।
घटना के संबंध में पुलिस ने बताया कि मामले की गहराई से जांच जारी है और आवश्यक विधिक कार्रवाई की जा रही है।
