गुमला पुस्तक मेला 2026 का भव्य शुभारंभ, ज्ञान एवं साहित्य के महोत्सव में उमड़े पुस्तक प्रेमी

गुमला – गुमला की सांस्कृतिक धरती आज ज्ञान, साहित्य और रचनात्मकता के रंगों से सराबोर हो उठी, जब टाउन हॉल, गुमला में चार दिवसीय “गुमला पुस्तक मेला 2026” का भव्य शुभारंभ किया गया। इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त दिलेश्वर महत्तो ने दीप प्रज्वलित कर मेले का विधिवत उद्घाटन किया।

यह पुस्तक मेला 15 मई से 18 मई 2026 तक प्रतिदिन प्रातः 11:00 बजे से रात्रि 9:00 बजे तक आमजन के लिए खुला रहेगा। मेले का आयोजन समय इंडिया (ट्रस्ट), नई दिल्ली द्वारा प्रज्ञा रिसर्च एसोसिएशन (प्राण), रांची एवं जिला प्रशासन, गुमला के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है।

उद्घाटन समारोह के अवसर पर उपायुक्त गुमला ने उपस्थित जनसमूह को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि वर्तमान इंटरनेट युग में जहां बच्चे मोबाइल एवं अन्य डिजिटल माध्यमों पर अधिक निर्भर हो रहे हैं, वहीं पुस्तकों का महत्व आज भी सर्वोपरि है। उन्होंने कहा कि पुस्तकें न केवल ज्ञान का स्रोत हैं, बल्कि यह व्यक्ति के चिंतन, विश्लेषण एवं समझ को व्यापक बनाती हैं।

उन्होंने कहा कि “पुस्तकों के अध्ययन से ही वर्षों से महान साहित्यकारों, विद्वानों एवं विशेषज्ञों ने ज्ञान अर्जित किया है। प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी के लिए भी पुस्तकों का कोई विकल्प नहीं है। अन्य माध्यम सहायक हो सकते हैं, लेकिन गहन एवं विस्तृत ज्ञान केवल पुस्तकों से ही प्राप्त किया जा सकता है।”

उपायुक्त ने आगे कहा कि इस प्रकार के पुस्तक मेलों का मुख्य उद्देश्य समाज, विशेषकर युवाओं एवं विद्यार्थियों में पुस्तक पढ़ने की रुचि को पुनर्जीवित करना है। उन्होंने जिलेवासियों से अपील की कि वे इस मेले में अधिक से अधिक संख्या में भाग लें, विभिन्न विषयों की पुस्तकों का अवलोकन करें तथा अपनी आवश्यकता के अनुसार पुस्तकों का क्रय कर अध्ययन की आदत को सुदृढ़ करें।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान यह भी उल्लेख किया गया कि गत वर्ष जिला प्रशासन द्वारा आयोजित लिट-फेस्ट को व्यापक सराहना मिली थी, जिसमें देश-विदेश के प्रतिष्ठित साहित्यकारों एवं विद्वानों ने भाग लिया था। उसी कड़ी को आगे बढ़ाते हुए यह पुस्तक मेला भी जिलेवासियों के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी सिद्ध होगा।

मेले के अंतर्गत विभिन्न तिथियों पर विविध सांस्कृतिक एवं साहित्यिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाएगा—

16 मई: चित्रकला, कविता – कहानी वाचन एवं गायन – नृत्य प्रतियोगिता

17 मई: कवि-कवयित्री सम्मेलन

18 मई: समापन समारोह

उद्घाटन समारोह में नगर के गणमान्य अतिथि, लेखक, पत्रकार, शिक्षक एवं बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी एवं पुस्तक प्रेमी उपस्थित रहे।

जिला प्रशासन ने सभी नागरिकों से इस ज्ञानोत्सव में सहभागिता सुनिश्चित करने का आग्रह किया है, ताकि गुमला में अध्ययन एवं साहित्यिक संस्कृति को और अधिक सशक्त बनाया जा सके।

कार्यक्रम में मुख्य रूप से जिला योजना पदाधिकारी रमण कुमार, कमल किशोर मिश्रा (सीनियर प्रोग्राम लीड, पिरामल फाउंडेशन), सोनालिका कुमारी (अजीम प्रेमजी फाउंडेशन, गुमला), प्रमोद कुमार जायसवाल (प्रोग्राम लीड, पिरामल फाउंडेशन, गुमला), एकांश सोमानी (पीपीआईए फेलो, गुमला), शिवानी चौहान (प्रोग्राम लीड, पिरामल फाउंडेशन, गुमला), अवधेश कुमार (प्रैक्सिस पीपीआईए फेलो, गुमला) एवं मंटू रजक (एसोसिएट – फेलो, एवीए, गुमला) सहित अन्य सम्बंधित उपस्थित रहे।
