खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग का निकोटीन एवं तंबाकू युक्त पान मसाला के खिलाफ सघन छापेमारी अभियान, पान मसाला दुकानों से लिए गए नमूने जाँच हेतु भेजे गए

गुमला : – अपर मुख्य सचिव -सह- खाद्य सुरक्षा आयुक्त,स्वास्थ्य,चिकित्सा- शिक्षा एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग, झारखंड सरकार, रांची एवं उप खाद्य सुरक्षा आयुक्त, स्वास्थ्य,चिकित्सा- शिक्षा एवं परिवार कल्याण विभाग, झारखंड सरकार, रांची के संयुक्त आदेश एवं अभिहित अधिकारी -सह- अपर मुख्य चिकित्सा पदाधिकारी डॉ. धनुर्जय सुम्ब्रई ने गुमला जिला में खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग द्वारा विशेष सघन निरीक्षण एवं छापेमारी अभियान चलाया गया। जिले में प्रतिबंधित (निकोटीन एवं तंबाकू युक्त) पान मसाला उत्पादों की बिक्री पर रोक लगाने तथा आम उपभोक्ताओं, विशेषकर स्कूली बच्चों एवं युवाओं के स्वास्थ्य संरक्षण को ध्यान में रखते हुए यह अभियान संचालित किया गया।

यह अभियान खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी ने विभागीय टीम के साथ शहर के विभिन्न पान मसाला, किराना एवं खाद्य पदार्थ विक्रेताओं की दुकानों का निरीक्षण किया। निरीक्षण के दौरान मेसर्स आरसी एंड सन,एसएस हाई स्कूल परिसर के समीप तथा मेसर्स आयुष इंडिया सोपी (एसके मार्ट) पालकोट रोड सहित अन्य दुकानों में गहन जांच की गई।

खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग की टीम ने स्कूलों एवं शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के 100 गज की दूरी के भीतर स्थित दुकानों की विशेष रूप से जाँच की। अधिकारियों ने दुकानदारों को स्पष्ट निर्देश दिया कि किसी भी परिस्थिति में नाबालिग बच्चों को तंबाकू, गुटखा एवं निकोटीनयुक्त पान मसाला उत्पादों की बिक्री नहीं की जाए।

जाँच अभियान के दौरान विभिन्न ब्रांड जैसे कमला पसंद, रजनीगंधा पान मसाला उत्पादों के नमूने संग्रहित किए गए। खाद्य सुरक्षा आयुक्त, कार्यालय द्वारा जारी आदेश के अनुसार विभिन्न पान मसाला उत्पादों में निकोटीन एवं तंबाकू की उपस्थिति की जाँच हेतु विशेष सेंपलिंग अभियान चलाने का निर्देश दिया गया है।

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि संग्रहित नमूनों को जाँच हेतु नेशनल फूड लैबोरेट्री, कोलकाता भेजा जाएगा, जहाँ निकोटीन एवं की वैज्ञानिक जांच की जाएगी। रिपोर्ट प्राप्त होने के उपरांत खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक अधिनियम, 2006 के तहत आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाएगी।

निरीक्षण के दौरान दुकानों में साफ-सफाई, खाद्य पदार्थों की गुणवत्ता, निर्माण तिथि, एक्सपायरी डेट, पैकेजिंग एवं लाइसेंस संबंधी दस्तावेजों की भी जाँच की गई। कई दुकानदारों को खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों का कड़ाई से पालन करने का निर्देश दिया गया। बिना वैध लाइसेंस अथवा मानक के किसी भी खाद्य सामग्री का भंडारण एवं बिक्री करने वालों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की चेतावनी दी गई।

खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने कहा कि जनस्वास्थ्य के साथ किसी भी प्रकार का खिलवाड़ बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। यदि जांच रिपोर्ट में किसी प्रतिबंधित पदार्थ अथवा निकोटीन की पुष्टि होती है, तो संबंधित प्रतिष्ठानों के विरुद्ध कानूनी कार्रवाई करते हुए जुर्माना एवं लाइसेंस निरस्तीकरण की प्रक्रिया अपनाई जाएगी।

अभियान के दौरान विभागीय टीम द्वारा दुकानदारों एवं आम नागरिकों को भी जागरूक किया गया। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि तंबाकू एवं निकोटीनयुक्त उत्पाद युवाओं एवं बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य पर गंभीर दुष्प्रभाव डालते हैं। इसी कारण सरकार द्वारा लगातार जागरूकता एवं विशेष जांच अभियान चलाए जा रहे हैं।
