कारीगरों को सशक्त बनाने के उद्देश्य से मुख्यमंत्री लघु एवं कुटीर उद्यम विकास बोर्ड के माध्यम से नीड्स संस्थान को 10 प्रतिशत के अंशदान पर मशीन – टूल किट का उपलब्ध कराया गया है। बांस कारीगरों को मशीन द्वारा उन्नत प्रशिक्षण, कम समय में अधिक उत्पाद का निर्माण के बारे में 14 दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण ग्राम पकरा , प्रखंड कामडारा , गुमला में दिया प्रशिक्षण । जिले के कारीगरों की पहचान, उनका पारंपरिक हुनर आधुनिक जरूरतों के अनुरूप और बेहतर बना सके।
बल्कि कारीगरों के लिए एक सुरक्षित और सुविधाजनक कार्यस्थल की भी व्यवस्था की गई। एससीए मद से कॉमन फैसिलिटी सेंटर ( सीएफसी) भवन का निर्माण कराया गया है, जिससे कारीगर धूप, बारिश और कठिन मौसम की चिंता किए बिना नियमित रूप से काम कर सकेंगे ।
