गुमला: गुमला सदर अस्पताल में इलाज के लिए पहुंचने वाले मरीजों को इन दिनों कई तरह की परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बुधवार को भी अस्पताल की ओपीडी व्यवस्था प्रभावित होने की बात सामने आई, जहां मरीज सुबह से डॉक्टर के आने का इंतजार करते रहे। घंटों इंतजार के बाद जब चिकित्सक के ड्यूटी पर नहीं आने की जानकारी मिली, तो कई मरीजों को बिना इलाज के ही वापस लौटना पड़ा।

बताया गया कि जिले के अलग-अलग इलाकों से लोग इलाज की उम्मीद लेकर सुबह सदर अस्पताल पहुंचे थे। इनमें बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं अपने बच्चों के साथ थीं। कई मरीज सुबह करीब 8 से 9 बजे के बीच अस्पताल पहुंचकर ओपीडी में अपनी बारी का इंतजार करते रहे।

घंटों इंतजार के बाद मिली डॉक्टर के नहीं आने की जानकारी

मरीजों के मुताबिक, लंबे समय तक इंतजार करने के बावजूद जब डॉक्टर नहीं पहुंचे तो उन्हें लगा कि कुछ देर में चिकित्सक आ जाएंगे। लेकिन काफी समय बीतने के बाद भी इलाज शुरू नहीं हुआ। बाद में उन्हें जानकारी मिली कि संबंधित डॉक्टर ड्यूटी पर नहीं आए हैं।

इस स्थिति में खासकर दूर-दराज से आए मरीजों और छोटे बच्चों के साथ पहुंची महिलाओं को काफी परेशानी हुई। कुछ मरीज गंभीर बीमारी से पीड़ित बताए गए। इलाज के लिए अस्पताल पहुंचे इन मरीजों को आखिरकार निराश होकर वापस लौटना पड़ा।

कमरा नंबर 112 की व्यवस्था पर सवाल

जानकारी के अनुसार, बुधवार को सदर अस्पताल के कमरा नंबर 112 में ड्यूटी पर तैनात चिकित्सक डॉ. सतना प्रसाद के ड्यूटी पर नहीं पहुंचने की बात सामने आई। इसके कारण इस कमरे में इलाज कराने पहुंचे मरीजों को लंबे समय तक इंतजार करना पड़ा।

सवाल यह है कि यदि किसी कारण से संबंधित डॉक्टर ड्यूटी पर उपलब्ध नहीं थे, तो मरीजों के इलाज के लिए वैकल्पिक चिकित्सक की व्यवस्था क्यों नहीं की गई? खासकर तब, जब अस्पताल में दूर-दराज के क्षेत्रों से मरीज इलाज कराने पहुंचते हैं।

सिविल सर्जन के निर्देशों पर भी सवाल

इस पूरे मामले ने अस्पताल की व्यवस्था और अधिकारियों की निगरानी पर भी सवाल खड़े किए हैं। अस्पताल के सिविल सर्जन डॉ. शंभूनाथ चौधरी की ओर से चिकित्सकों की ड्यूटी और मरीजों को बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने के लिए निर्देश दिए जाने की बात कही जाती है। इसके बावजूद अगर कोई चिकित्सक ड्यूटी पर नहीं पहुंचता है और मरीजों को घंटों इंतजार करना पड़ता है, तो यह सवाल उठना स्वाभाविक है कि आखिर इन निर्देशों की निगरानी कौन कर रहा है।

मरीजों और उनके परिजनों का कहना है कि सरकारी अस्पताल में इलाज की उम्मीद लेकर आने वाले लोगों को इस तरह इंतजार कराने से उनकी परेशानी और बढ़ जाती है। खासकर गंभीर मरीजों के मामले में समय पर चिकित्सकीय परामर्श बेहद जरूरी होता है।

अब जरूरत इस बात की है कि अस्पताल प्रबंधन पूरे मामले की जानकारी ले और यह स्पष्ट करे कि संबंधित चिकित्सक ड्यूटी पर क्यों नहीं पहुंचे थे। साथ ही, यदि किसी डॉक्टर की अनुपस्थिति के कारण ओपीडी प्रभावित होती है, तो मरीजों के इलाज के लिए वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करने की जिम्मेदारी किसकी है, इसका भी जवाब सामने आना चाहिए।

गुमला सदर अस्पताल जिले का प्रमुख सरकारी अस्पताल है। ऐसे में यहां आने वाले मरीजों को डॉक्टर के इंतजार में घंटों खड़ा रहने के बजाय समय पर इलाज मिले, यही अस्पताल प्रबंधन और स्वास्थ्य विभाग की प्राथमिकता होनी चाहिए।
