पतायत साहू – प्रकृति संरक्षक को पद्मश्री

“लुंगी और गमछा में जिस व्यक्ति को आप दिख रहे हैं उनका नाम पतायत साहू है।। पतायत जी को इस बार पद्मश्री पुरस्कार मिला है। पतायत जी ओडिशा के कालाहांडी जिले के रहने वाले हैं। इनके गांव का नाम नान्दोल है। पतायत जी अपने घर के पीछे 1.5 एकर के ज़मीन में 3000 से भी ज्यादा medicinal प्लांट उगाए हैं। यह काम वो पिछले 40 साल से कर रहे हैं। पतायत जी आर्गेनिक खेती पर जोर देते हैं। अपने प्लांट में कभी भी केमिकल फ़र्टिलाइज़र का इस्तेमाल नहीं करते हैं।पतायत जी दिन में खेती करते हैं और रात को वैद्य बन जाते हैं। लोगों से पैसे की मांग नहीं करते हैं। पतायत जी के खेत में जो 3000 प्लांट है उस मे से 500 तो वो भारत के अलग अलग जगह से संग्रह किये हैं बाकी सब कालाहांडी के जंगल से संग्रह किये हैं।।उनके बगीचे में ऐसा कई सारे मेडिसिनल प्लांट हैं जो किस और जगह नहीं मिलती है। पतायत जी को बहुत सारे बधाई। हम प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए तो आज वसंत पंचमी व गणतंत्र दिवस पर यह खबर गौरवान्वित करने वाली है।
