खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं तंबाकू नियंत्रण को लेकर गुमला में विशेष जांच अभियान

होटलों से एक्सपायरी कोल्ड ड्रिंक बरामद, कोटपा एक्ट के तहत जुर्माना

गुमला : – गुमला उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देश पर आगामी त्योहारों को ध्यान में रखते हुए जिले में खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों के पालन एवं तंबाकू नियंत्रण नियमों के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन को सुनिश्चित करने हेतु शुक्रवार को गुमला शहर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में विशेष जांच एवं छापेमारी अभियान चलाया गया।

अभियान का नेतृत्व खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी एवं जिला तंबाकू नियंत्रण सलाहकार द्वारा किया गया। इस दौरान उर्मि चौक स्थित महतो होटल, अर्जुन होटल, पालकोट रोड स्थित शिव होटल सहित आसपास के कई दुकानों एवं खाद्य प्रतिष्ठानों की सघन जांच की गई।

निरीक्षण के क्रम में प्रतिष्ठानों में साफ-सफाई की स्थिति, खाद्य पदार्थों के भंडारण की व्यवस्था तथा कार्यरत कर्मियों द्वारा एप्रन, ग्लव्स एवं हेडगियर के अनिवार्य उपयोग की जांच की गई। साथ ही प्रतिष्ठान संचालकों को खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों का कड़ाई से पालन करने के निर्देश दिए गए।

जांच के दौरान कुछ कोल्ड ड्रिंक डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर द्वारा एक्सपायरी उत्पाद होटलों एवं अन्य खाद्य प्रतिष्ठानों को उपलब्ध कराए जाने की बात सामने आई। इस पर खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने कड़ी आपत्ति जताते हुए संबंधित संचालकों को सख्त चेतावनी दी कि एक्सपायरी उत्पाद किसी भी परिस्थिति में बिक्री या उपयोग के लिए उपलब्ध न कराएं। साथ ही ऐसे उत्पादों को समयानुसार नष्ट करने अथवा संबंधित कंपनी को वापस करने का निर्देश दिया गया।

अभियान के दौरान कोटपा अधिनियम (COTPA) 2003 के तहत विद्यालय के 100 मीटर की परिधि एवं अन्य सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर तंबाकू उत्पादों के उपयोग एवं बिक्री से जुड़े नियमों का उल्लंघन पाए जाने पर दो प्रतिष्ठानों से कुल 600 रुपये जुर्माना वसूला गया।

खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने बताया कि आमजन के स्वास्थ्य की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए इस प्रकार का निरीक्षण अभियान आगे भी निरंतर जारी रहेगा। साथ ही खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक अधिनियम, 2006 तथा कोटपा अधिनियम, 2003 के प्रावधानों का उल्लंघन करने वालों के विरुद्ध नियमानुसार सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
