The Railways have unveiled a new livery for the Vande Bharat Express train with a saffron and grey colour scheme as its motif. After visiting the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw shared pictures of the train sporting its new colour scheme.
The front of the locomotive is painted saffron and while, while its back is painted the same colour as the coaches, in contrast to the saffron and grey used for the train’s coaches. Other design components, such as the Indian Railways emblem below the locomotive’s windscreen and the Vande Bharat Express branding on the side, are identical to those on the current blue and white-themed trains.
The eight-coach Vande Bharat Express trains will have comfy reclining seats, according to a report by the Free Press Journal. They will be orange in colour. In addition, the new trains are anticipated to have improved mobile charging stations, expanded footrests for Executive Chair car class coaches, and a basin with improved splash-proofing. Additionally, passengers will benefit from touch-sensitive reading lamps, improved toilet illumination, and innovative roller blind fabric.
According to the FPJ research, the new Vande Bharat train has fixing hooks for wheelchair attachment in driving trailer coaches and an anti-climbing device that should increase safety in addition to increased functionality for passengers with special requirements.
