गुमला – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत स्थित पालकोट में प्रत्येक वर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष भी ऋष्यमुक पर्वत शिखर स्थित बाबा बैद्यनाथेश्वर ज्योति मनोकामना लिंक मंदिर,प्राचीन बूढ़ा महादेव मंदिर, देवगांव स्थित प्राचीन श्री श्री 1008 श्री महादेव मुंडा धाम में सावन के पहली सोमवारी पर जलाभिषेक करने को लेकर राउरकेला से पंपापुर धाम परिवार के सभी भक्त कांवर लेकर पैदल यात्रा कर सैकड़ों कांवरियों का जत्था रविवार देर शाम को पालकोट पहुंचा।
ऋष्यमुक पर्वत शिखर स्थित बाबा बैद्यनाथेश्वर ज्योति मनोकामना लिंग मंदिर में सावन के पहली पर जलाभिषेक करने को लेकर इनके साथ-साथ पैदल यात्रा करते हुये कांवर के साथ वेदव्यास, त्रिवेणी, हांथी बारी, सिमडेगा, बीरु, हार्टिंगहोडे, सोदे,पाड़ों, बानो, लचडागढ, कोलेबिरा सहित विभिन्न सुदूरवर्ती इलाकों से कांवरियों का जत्था रविवार शाम पालकोट पहुंचा।
रविवार शाम को कांवर लेकर सैंकड़ों महिला-पुरुष युवक-युवतियां कांवरियों का जत्था पहुंचने पर पंपापुर धाम समिति पालकोट के सभी सदस्यों द्वारा सभी कांवरियों का भव्य रुप से स्वागत किया गया।तथा दुर्गा मंदिर में सभी कांवरियों को विश्राम के लिये लाया गया।दुर्गा मंदिर में सभी कांवरियों को फल शरबत से जलपान कराया गया।इसके बाद सभी कांवरियों का जत्था रविवार देर शाम को अपने-अपने कांवर के साथ पैदल यात्रा करते हुये ऋष्यमुक पर्वात शिखर की चोटी पर पहुंचे।यहां सभी कांवरियों सावन की पहली सोमवारी को अहले सुबह बाबा बैद्यनाथेश्वर ज्योति मनोकामना लिंग मंदिर में जलाभिषेक करने के बाद विधिवत वैदिक मंत्रोच्चारण के साथ पूजा-अर्चना करने के बाद अपने-अपने गणतव्य के लिये प्रस्थान करेंगे।जानकारी के अनुसार सावन के पवित्र माह को लेकर प्रत्येक वर्ष की भांति इस वर्ष भी पंपापुर धाम समिति पालकोट के तत्ववाधान में ऋष्यमुक पर्वत शिखर में सावन मेला का भी आयोजन किया गया है।जहां प्रतिदिन सैकड़ों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु भक्तों का आवागमन सुचारु प्रारंभ हो गया है।
