गुमला – गुमला जिला में पर्यटन, कला, संस्कृति, खेलकूद एवं युवाकार्य विभाग द्वारा संचालित आवासीय प्रशिक्षण केंद्रों में खिलाड़ियों के नामांकन के लिए प्रतिभा चयन प्रतियोगिता 2024- 25 का दिनांक 11- 12 जनवरी को अल्बर्ट एक्का स्टेडियम,बैडमिंटन इनडोर स्टेडियम एवं हॉकी एस्ट्रोटॉफ स्टेडियम गुमला में आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें लगभग 550 खिलाड़ियों ने अपनी हुनर दिखाने पहुंचे।
गुमला जिला में संचालित आवासीय प्रशिक्षण केंद्रों में रिक्त स्थान को भरने के लिए दो दिवसीय प्रतिभा चयन प्रतियोगिता में बैटरी टेस्ट एवं स्किल टेस्ट में 10 वर्ष से 14 वर्ष के बालक – बालिका ने अपनी स्किल और टैलेंट दिखाए। गुमला जिलांतर्गत संचालित 06 आवासीय प्रशिक्षण केंद्रों में फुटबॉल,बैडमिंटन,हॉकी एवं एथेलेटिक्स के लिए गुमला जिला के अतिरिक्त विभिन्न जिलों रांची,लोहरदगा,सिमडेगा,खूंटी, लातेहार,गढ़वा ,बोकारो एवं धनबाद,कोडरमा,हजारीबाग जिले के प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया। जो कि गुमला जिला के लिए गर्व की बात है।
जिला खेल पदाधिकारी मनोज कुमार ने बताया की गुमला जिले में टैलेंट की कमी नहीं है। राष्ट्रीय – अंतरराष्ट्रीय पटल पर खिलाड़ी गुमला का नाम रौशन करे , इसके लिए खेल विभाग और जिला प्रशासन द्वारा प्रतिभा चयन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कर खिलाड़ियों की पहचान कर रही है।
