गुमला – गुमला जिले के भरनो प्रखंड के पहाड़केशा पतराटोली गांव में पांच जंगली हाथियों ने बीते रात जमकर उत्पात मचाया। इस घटना में गयना उरांव के घर को गंभीर नुकसान पहुंचा। हाथियों ने घर में रखे 1 बोरा धान और 1 बोरा गेहूं भी खा लिया।
घटना का विवरण
स्थानीय निवासियों के अनुसार, रात के समय पांच जंगली हाथियों का झुंड गांव में घुस आया। उन्होंने गयना उरांव के घर को निशाना बनाते हुए दो कमरों को लात मारकर ध्वस्त कर दिया। उस समय गयना, उनकी पत्नी और उनका बेटा घर के भीतर सो रहे थे। उन्होंने घर के अंदर छिपकर अपनी जान बचाई।
अनाज और संपत्ति को नुकसान
हाथियों ने न केवल घर को क्षतिग्रस्त किया, बल्कि घर में रखा अनाज भी खा गए। घटना के बाद झुंड ने लोंगा झरिया गढ़ा की ओर रुख कर लिया।
ग्रामीणों में दहशत
इस घटना ने स्थानीय निवासियों में भय का माहौल पैदा कर दिया है। ग्रामीणों ने वन विभाग से इस समस्या का समाधान करने की मांग की है।
वन विभाग की भूमिका
जंगली हाथियों के बढ़ते हमलों से प्रभावित ग्रामीणों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने और फसलों व संपत्तियों के नुकसान को रोकने के लिए वन विभाग की सक्रियता आवश्यक है।
