अंधविश्वास के चलते दो महिलाओं की निर्मम हत्या, आरोपी गिरफ्तार

गुमला, — अंधविश्वास और डायन-बिसाही के अंधेरे में भटककर, एक युवक ने अपनी ही गांव की दो महिलाओं की निर्मम हत्या कर दी। घटना गुमला जिले के रायडीह थाना क्षेत्र के जमगई डुरूटोली गांव के पास पुराना पानी जंगल (खेत) में 30 जनवरी 2025 को संध्या समय हुई।

गांव के मुखिया और ग्रामीणों ने पुलिस को सूचना दी कि जंगल में दो महिलाओं के शव पड़े हैं। सूचना पाकर रायडीह थाना पुलिस त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए मौके पर पहुंची और शवों को कब्जे में लेकर जांच शुरू की। जांच के दौरान मृतकों की पहचान जमगई डुरूटोली निवासी 68 वर्षीय सीता देवी (पति स्व. सवना प्रधान) और उनकी 50 वर्षीय बेटी शांति देवी (पिता स्व. सवना प्रधान) के रूप में हुई।

हत्या का आरोपी भी उसी गांव का 23 वर्षीय युवक कमलेश प्रधान (पिता स्व. हरि प्रधान) निकला, जिसे पुलिस ने तत्काल गिरफ्तार कर लिया। थाना लाकर जब उससे पूछताछ की गई तो उसने अपना अपराध स्वीकार कर लिया। आरोपी ने पुलिस को बताया कि उसकी पत्नी अक्सर बीमार रहती थी, और इसी अंधविश्वास के चलते उसने दोनों महिलाओं को डायन समझ लिया। संध्या के समय मौका पाकर उसने पुराना पानी जंगल (खेत) में टांगी से काटकर दोनों की हत्या कर दी।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस ने शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए गुमला सदर अस्पताल भेज दिया और बाद में उन्हें परिजनों को सौंप दिया। प्रारंभिक जांच में हत्या का मुख्य कारण अंधविश्वास और डायन-बिसाही का आरोप लगाकर हुए विवाद को माना जा रहा है।

रायडीह थाना पुलिस ने आरोपी को न्यायालय में प्रस्तुत कर न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया है। साथ ही, इस जघन्य हत्याकांड के सभी पहलुओं की गहराई से जांच की जा रही है।
