गुमला में रंगोली फैशन दुकान का छज्जा गिरा, बड़ी दुर्घटना टली; जर्जर भवनों पर उठे सवाल

गुमला | 26 अप्रैल 2025 — गुमला जिला मुख्यालय स्थित मेन रोड पर शुक्रवार को रंगोली फैशन दुकान का छज्जा अचानक गिर गया, हालांकि गनीमत रही कि कोई जानी नुकसान नहीं हुआ। पहलगाम हिंसा के विरोध में गुमला बंद होने के कारण सड़क पर भीड़ नहीं थी, वरना यह घटना जानलेवा साबित हो सकती थी। इस हादसे ने शहर में जर्जर भवनों की खतरनाक स्थिति और नगर परिषद की निष्क्रियता को एक बार फिर उजागर कर दिया है।

कैसे टली बड़ी दुर्घटना?

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, रंगोली फैशन के सामने से गुजरते समय एक स्कूटी पर गिरी मलबे की चपेट में आने से उसकी बुरी तरह क्षति हुई, परंतु स्कूटी सवार बाल-बाल बच गए। स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि यदि बाजार खुला होता, तो कई जानें जा सकती थीं।

यह कोई पहली घटना नहीं है। इससे पहले भी गुमला मेन रोड पर कई बार भवनों के छज्जे गिरने की घटनाएँ हो चुकी हैं। एक मामले में व्यवहार न्यायालय के एक कर्मचारी पर छज्जा गिरने से उसकी गंभीर हालत में मौत हो गई थी।

जर्जर भवनों का खतरा और नगर परिषद की उदासीनता

नगरवासियों ने गुमला नगर परिषद पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि परिषद केवल भवन कर और जल कर वसूली में सक्रिय है, जबकि शहर में दशकों पुराने, कमजोर और खस्ताहाल भवनों की अनदेखी की जा रही है।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि गुमला शहर के कई बहुमंजिली भवन व मकान बेहद जर्जर अवस्था में हैं, जिनका छज्जा या दीवार कभी भी गिर सकती है। बावजूद इसके, जिम्मेदार विभागों द्वारा सुरक्षा को लेकर कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाए जा रहे हैं।

जनता की मांग: त्वरित कार्रवाई की जरूरत

नागरिकों ने जिला प्रशासन और नगर परिषद से अपील की है कि खस्ताहाल मकानों और दुकानों की तत्काल पहचान कर, संबंधित भवन मालिकों को नोटिस जारी कर विधिवत गिराने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की जाए। इससे भविष्य में होने वाली जानमाल की क्षति को रोका जा सकता है।

साथ ही, भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में पुराने पेड़ों की नियमित जांच और प्रबंधन की भी मांग उठी है, क्योंकि भारी बरसात और तेज हवाओं के दौरान इनके गिरने से भी दुर्घटनाएं होती रही हैं।
