गुमला, 19 मई 2025 | गुमला जिला मुख्यालय स्थित पटेल पार्क चौक पर शनिवार देर शाम उस वक्त अफरा-तफरी मच गई, जब एक नशे में धुत युवक ने नकली पिस्टल लहराकर राहगीरों को डराने और गाली-गलौज करने की कोशिश की। युवक की हरकतों से नाराज़ स्थानीय लोगों ने उसकी जमकर पिटाई कर दी। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और युवक को भीड़ से छुड़ाकर अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया।
घटना में घायल युवक की पहचान नेतरहाट निवासी विशु राज सिंह के रूप में हुई है, जो शराब के नशे में पटेल पार्क चौक पर लगभग आधे घंटे तक हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामा करता रहा। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, युवक राह चलते लोगों को नकली पिस्टल दिखाकर धमका रहा था और अभद्र भाषा का इस्तेमाल कर रहा था।
स्थानीय युवकों ने जब उसकी हरकतें बर्दाश्त नहीं कीं, तो उन्होंने मौके पर ही उसकी पिटाई शुरू कर दी। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही गुमला सदर थाना की पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और भीड़ के चंगुल से युवक को सुरक्षित निकाला।
पुलिस के अनुसार, युवक ने न केवल आम लोगों बल्कि पुलिस के साथ भी अभद्र व्यवहार किया, लेकिन पुलिस ने संयम बरतते हुए उसे तत्काल गुमला सदर अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया, जहां डॉक्टरों की निगरानी में उसका इलाज चल रहा है।
पुलिस द्वारा पूछताछ में युवक ने खुद को एक पिता बताते हुए दावा किया कि वह अपने बच्चे के जन्मदिन पर तोहफा देने के लिए नकली पिस्टल खरीद कर रांची जा रहा था। उसने यह भी कहा कि नशे की हालत में उसे समझ नहीं आया कि वह क्या कर रहा है।
फिलहाल पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है और युवक के बयान की सत्यता की पुष्टि की जा रही है। घटना ने एक बार फिर यह सवाल खड़ा कर दिया है कि सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर नशे की स्थिति में उपद्रव मचाने वालों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जरूरत है।
