जमटी में मवेशी तस्करी पर ग्रामीणों की सक्रियता से खुलासा, पुलिस पर उठे सवाल

गुमला, 25 मई 2025 — गुमला जिले के बिशुनपुर थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत नक्सल प्रभावित जमटी गांव में शुक्रवार शाम करीब 150 मवेशियों की तस्करी का मामला सामने आया। ग्रामीणों की सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस ने मवेशियों के साथ करीब दर्जन भर तस्करों को भी हिरासत में लिया, लेकिन कार्रवाई को लेकर पुलिस की रहस्यमय चुप्पी और संदिग्ध रवैये ने कई सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं।

ग्रामीणों की सूचना पर पुलिस की दबिश, फिर ढीला रवैया

स्थानीय ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, नक्सली गतिविधियों में कमी आने के बाद से जमटी और बनालात क्षेत्र पशु तस्करों के लिए सुरक्षित अड्डा बन चुका है। लगातार कई महीनों से गारू, सरजू और कबरी मार्गों से होकर सैकड़ों मवेशियों को लोहरदगा व लातेहार की ओर तस्करी के लिए ले जाया जा रहा था। पुलिस को बार-बार सूचना दिए जाने के बावजूद कोई ठोस कार्रवाई नहीं हो रही थी।

शुक्रवार को एक बार फिर ग्रामीणों ने मवेशियों के बड़े जत्थे की सूचना पुलिस को दी। चौपत नदी के पास पुलिस ने जब तस्करों को रोका, तो पहले एक दल को पकड़ा और फिर कथित रूप से कुछ समय बाद उन्हें छोड़ दिया। इस पर नाराज़ ग्रामीणों ने दूसरे जत्थे के मवेशियों को खुद तस्करों से छुड़ाने का निर्णय लिया।

ग्रामीणों की चेतावनी के बाद पुलिस ने दोबारा की कार्रवाई

ग्रामीणों की तीखी प्रतिक्रिया के बाद, पुलिस ने बचे हुए मवेशियों और तस्करों को पकड़कर जमटी पिकेट में रखा। शनिवार सुबह यह दृश्य सामने आया कि तस्कर और पुलिसकर्मी आपस में बैठकर बातचीत कर रहे थे, जिससे ग्रामीणों में यह आशंका गहराने लगी कि “सेटिंग-गेटिंग” कर मामला दबा दिया जाएगा।

पत्रकारों को जानकारी देने से बचती रही पुलिस

घटना की जानकारी मिलने पर जब स्थानीय पत्रकार जमटी पिकेट पहुंचे, तो उन्हें अंदर प्रवेश करने और मवेशियों की तस्वीरें लेने से रोक दिया गया। पत्रकारों को यह सूचना मिली कि थाना प्रभारी राकेश सिंह ने पिकेट प्रभारी को मीडिया को अंदर न घुसने देने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

जब पत्रकारों ने इस विषय में राकेश सिंह से बात की, तो उन्होंने सिर्फ इतना कहा कि “मवेशी पकड़े गए हैं, मामले की जांच चल रही है, अभी कुछ कहना जल्दबाज़ी होगी।” उन्होंने यह भी जोड़ा कि मवेशियों के दस्तावेजों की जांच के बाद आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

पुलिस पर अविश्वास और पारदर्शिता की मांग

घटना के बाद से ग्रामीणों में पुलिस की कार्यशैली को लेकर गहरी नाराजगी है। उनका कहना है कि बार-बार सूचना देने के बावजूद पुलिस का लचर रवैया तस्करी को बढ़ावा दे रहा है। मामले की गंभीरता और पुलिस की भूमिका की निष्पक्ष जांच की मांग भी उठने लगी है।
