भूख से बेहाल युवक ने छीना बटुआ, ग्रामीणों ने रंगे हाथ पकड़ा, पुलिस के हवाले किया

गुमला, 1 जून 2025 — झारखंड के गुमला जिला स्थित तेलगांव में शनिवार रात एक 19 वर्षीय युवक ने कथित रूप से भूख के चलते बटुआ और मोबाइल छीनने की कोशिश की, लेकिन स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने उसे मौके पर ही पकड़ लिया और जमकर पिटाई करने के बाद पुलिस को सौंप दिया। घायल अवस्था में युवक को गुमला सदर अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है, जहां उसका इलाज चल रहा है।

घटना शनिवार रात करीब 8 बजे की है। तेलगांव निवासी सुरेश प्रधान जो रोज़ की तरह जीत वाहन चौक पर चना का ठेला लगाने के बाद घर लौट रहे थे, उसी दौरान रास्ते में सतपारा घाट निवासी भूपेंद्र भगत नामक युवक से उनकी बातचीत हुई। जब सुरेश अपने घर के पास पहुंचे, तो उन्होंने अपनी बेटी को बटुआ सौंपना चाहा, जिसमें ₹1500 नकद और एक मोबाइल फोन था। उसी दौरान भूपेंद्र बटुआ छीनकर भागने लगा।

सुरेश द्वारा “चोर-चोर” की आवाज लगाने पर पास के ग्रामीणों ने दौड़कर भूपेंद्र को पकड़ लिया और जमकर पीटा। इसके बाद उसे गुमला पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया गया।

भूख से मजबूर होकर की चोरी की कोशिश: आरोपी का दावा

पुलिस पूछताछ में भूपेंद्र ने बताया कि वह भूख से परेशान था और पूरे दिन कुछ नहीं खाया था। उसने स्वीकार किया कि उसने बिना बताए अपने पिता की मोटरसाइकिल लेकर बाहर निकल गया था और शाम तक बिना कुछ खाए घूमता रहा। पेट की भूख ने उसे ऐसा कदम उठाने पर मजबूर कर दिया।

पुलिस कर रही है मामले की छानबीन

गुमला थाना पुलिस के अनुसार, मामले की विधिवत जांच की जा रही है। घटनास्थल के आसपास के लोगों से पूछताछ की जा रही है और आरोपी के बयान की पुष्टि की जा रही है। पुलिस यह भी देख रही है कि आरोपी पर पहले से कोई आपराधिक मामला दर्ज है या नहीं।

समाज में गूंज उठे सवाल

इस घटना ने एक बार फिर भूख और गरीबी के मुद्दे को उजागर कर दिया है। विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि ऐसे मामले केवल कानून व्यवस्था से नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक सहायता प्रणाली को मजबूत कर ही रोके जा सकते हैं।

प्रशासन से मांग की जा रही है कि ऐसे युवाओं के लिए पुनर्वास और मानसिक परामर्श जैसी व्यवस्थाएं सुनिश्चित की जाएं, ताकि वे अपराध की राह पर न चलें।
