गुमला में विश्व सिकल सेल दिवस पर जागरूकता रैली और सेमिनार का आयोजन

गुमला : – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय में विश्व सिकल सेल दिवस के अवसर पर गुमला जिले में सिकल सेल रोग को लेकर जागरूकता फैलाने के उद्देश्य से विशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। इस मौके पर लोगों को समय पर जांच, इलाज और बचाव के महत्व के बारे में जानकारी दी गई।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत सिकल सेल जागरूकता रथ को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करने से हुई। इस रथ को एसडीओ सदर राजीव नीरज, सिविल सर्जन नवल कुमार, एसीएमओ और डीआरसीएचओ डॉ. सुनील राम ने संयुक्त रूप से रवाना किया। यह रथ गांव-गांव जाकर लोगों को सिकल सेल रोग के बारे में जानकारी देगा और जांच के लिए प्रेरित करेगा।

इसके बाद कौशल विकास नर्सिंग कॉलेज में एक सेमिनार आयोजित हुआ, जिसमें प्राचार्य मेजर नीरजा, शिक्षकगण और बड़ी संख्या में छात्र-छात्राएं शामिल हुए। इस दौरान सीएचओ की टीम द्वारा सभी विद्यार्थियों की स्क्रीनिंग भी की गई, जिससे उन्हें व्यावहारिक जानकारी भी मिली।

सेमिनार में डॉ. सुनील (एम.डी. पैथोलॉजी) और यूनिसेफ कंसल्टेंट पवन ने सिकल सेल रोग की पहचान, इलाज और बचाव के बारे में सरल और उपयोगी जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि सॉल्युबिलिटी टेस्ट और हाइड्रॉक्सीयूरिया दवा से इस बीमारी को काफी हद तक नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है। साथ ही, समुदाय में लगातार जागरूकता जरूरी है ताकि यह बीमारी अगली पीढ़ी में न फैले।

सिविल सर्जन ने कहा कि शादी से पहले सिकल सेल की जांच उतनी ही जरूरी है जितनी कुंडली मिलान, ताकि सही निर्णय लिया जा सके।
एसडीओ गुमला ने बिशुनपुर और बसिया प्रखंडों में 100% स्क्रीनिंग की सराहना की और स्वास्थ्य विभाग की सक्रियता को सराहा।

एसीएमओ डॉ. डी. सुंब्रुई ने अभिभावकों से अपील की कि वे सिकल सेल से ग्रसित बच्चों के लिए नि:शुल्क इलाज, जांच और दिव्यांग प्रमाणन जैसी सुविधाओं का लाभ जरूर लें।
उक्त कार्यक्रम कौशल विकास नर्सिंग एस. कॉलेज परिसर में संपन्न हुआ, कार्यक्रम का समापन प्राचार्य मेजर नीरजा के धन्यवाद ज्ञापन के साथ हुआ। उन्होंने कहा कि यह सेमिनार भावी नर्सिंग स्टाफ के लिए बहुत उपयोगी रहा और उन्होंने जिला प्रशासन की इस पहल की सराहना की।
