गुमला, 4 सितम्बर – गुमला जिले के भरनो थाना क्षेत्र में मंगलवार देर शाम एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसा हुआ। एनएच-23 रांची-गुमला मुख्य मार्ग पर दुम्बो मंदिर के पास एक अज्ञात वाहन ने सड़क पार कर रही एक विक्षिप्त महिला को कुचल दिया, जिससे उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।
लंबे समय से भरनो में रह रही थी महिला
स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार मृतका मानसिक रूप से अस्वस्थ थी और बीते कई महीनों से भरनो प्रखंड मुख्यालय क्षेत्र में भीख मांगकर जीवन यापन कर रही थी। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने बताया कि हादसा अचानक हुआ और वाहन चालक दुर्घटना के बाद फरार हो गया।
पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही भरनो थाना पुलिस दल-बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंची। पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर आवश्यक पंचनामा तैयार किया और पोस्टमार्टम के लिए गुमला सदर अस्पताल भेज दिया।
जांच जारी
भरनो थाना प्रभारी ने बताया कि दुर्घटना की जांच की जा रही है। आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों और चश्मदीदों के बयान के आधार पर अज्ञात वाहन और चालक की पहचान करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
