तमिल फिल्म जगत से एक चौंकाने वाली खबर आई है। लोकप्रिय अभिनेता और कॉमेडियन रोबो शंकर का बुधवार को 46 वर्ष की उम्र में निधन हो गया। जानकारी के अनुसार, वह फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान अचानक बेहोश होकर गिर पड़े। उन्हें तुरंत अस्पताल ले जाया गया और आईसीयू में भर्ती किया गया, लेकिन डॉक्टर उन्हें बचा नहीं सके।
स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं से जूझ रहे थे
स्थानीय रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार, कुछ महीने पहले रोबो शंकर को पीलिया हुआ था। इस बीमारी के दौरान उन्होंने काफी वजन खो दिया था, जिससे उनके प्रशंसक चिंतित हो उठे थे। हालांकि उन्होंने काम पर वापसी की, लेकिन उनकी तबीयत पूरी तरह सुधर नहीं सकी। हाल के महीनों में टीवी और फिल्मों में उनकी कमजोर हालत साफ नज़र आ रही थी।
सन टीवी के कुकिंग शो “टॉप कुकु डुप कुकु” में उनकी बदली हुई काया ने दर्शकों को हैरान कर दिया था। इसके बावजूद वह लगातार फिल्मों और टीवी प्रोजेक्ट्स में काम कर रहे थे। 17 सितम्बर को शूटिंग के दौरान अचानक उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ी और उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन इलाज के दौरान उन्होंने दम तोड़ दिया।
करियर और योगदान
रोबो शंकर ने 1997 में “पदायप्पा” जैसी फिल्मों में छोटे किरदारों से अपने करियर की शुरुआत की थी। उनकी पहचान “रोबो” नामक डांस एक्ट्स से बनी थी, जिसे उन्होंने गांवों के मंचों पर किया था। उनका असली ब्रेकथ्रू “इधरकुथाने आसाइपट्टई बालकुमारा” फिल्म से हुआ। इसके बाद उन्होंने “मारी”, “वेलैनु वंधुट्टा वेल्लैक्कारन”, “सिंगम 3”, “पा पांडी”, “विस्वासम” और “इरुंबु थिरई” जैसी सफल फिल्मों में अभिनय किया।

रोबो शंकर का पार्थिव शरीर उनके चेन्नई स्थित निवास पर ले जाया जाएगा, जहां शुक्रवार को अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा। उनके परिवार में पत्नी प्रियांका शंकर और बेटी इंद्रजा शंकर हैं। इंद्रजा ने विजय की फिल्म “बिगिल” में भी काम किया था।
