गुमला : उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देश पर परिवहन विभाग ने जिले में सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर विशेष जांच अभियान चलाया। जिला परिवहन पदाधिकारी (DTO) ज्ञान शंकर जायसवाल, मोटर यान निरीक्षक प्रदीप तिर्की, प्रणय कांशी और त्रिभुवन नाथ निराला समेत टीम ने स्कूल बसों और अन्य वाणिज्यिक वाहनों की सघन जांच की।
स्कूल बसें और अनधिकृत वाहन जांच के दायरे में
अभियान का मुख्य लक्ष्य विभिन्न विद्यालयों में संचालित स्कूल बसें थीं। इसके अलावा मैक्सी कैब, टेम्पो और बस जैसे अनधिकृत रूप से परिचालित वाहन भी जांच में शामिल किए गए। टीम ने फिटनेस, इंश्योरेंस, टैक्स, परमिट और फर्स्ट एड बॉक्स जैसी ज़रूरी अनिवार्यताओं की उपलब्धता और वैधता की समीक्षा की।
ड्रिंक एंड ड्राइव पर कड़ी कार्रवाई
जांच के दौरान कई वाहनों में सुरक्षा उपकरणों की कमी और दस्तावेज़ों में अनियमितताएं मिलीं। सबसे सख्त कार्रवाई ड्रिंक एंड ड्राइव मामलों पर हुई। नियम उल्लंघन के विभिन्न मामलों में कुल ₹24,650 का जुर्माना वसूला गया, जिससे स्पष्ट है कि सुरक्षा मानकों पर कोई समझौता नहीं होगा।
नाबालिग चालकों पर रोक
अभियान में नाबालिगों द्वारा वाहन संचालन पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया। परिवहन विभाग ने निर्देश दिया कि स्कूल प्रशासन यह सुनिश्चित करे कि कोई भी छात्र बिना वैध लाइसेंस के वाहन का प्रयोग न करे। नियम तोड़ने वाले छात्रों के खिलाफ आंतरिक कार्रवाई करने के भी निर्देश जारी किए गए।
अभियान जारी रहेगा
परिवहन विभाग ने स्पष्ट किया कि सड़क सुरक्षा संस्कृति को मजबूत करने और यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ऐसे जांच अभियान जिले में नियमित रूप से चलते रहेंगे।
