गुमला: भारत के प्रथम गृह मंत्री और राष्ट्रीय एकता के शिल्पकार लौहपुरुष सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की 150वीं जयंती पर गुरुवार को गुमला जिला मुख्यालय में भारतीय जनता पार्टी द्वारा श्रद्धांजलि कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। इस अवसर पर पटेल पार्क में स्थापित सरदार पटेल की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण कर उन्हें नमन किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में भाजपा नेताओं ने सरदार पटेल के राष्ट्र निर्माण में दिए गए योगदान को याद करते हुए कहा कि देश की एकता और अखंडता में उनका योगदान अतुलनीय है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा सरदार पटेल की जयंती को राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस के रूप में मनाने के निर्णय का उल्लेख करते हुए वक्ताओं ने कहा कि यह उनके कार्यों और आदर्शों के प्रति सम्मान का प्रतीक है।
कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित पूर्व सांसद सुदर्शन भगत ने कहा कि सरदार पटेल ने स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई और स्वतंत्र भारत के पहले गृहमंत्री के रूप में देश को एकसूत्र में पिरोने का ऐतिहासिक कार्य किया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज पूरा राष्ट्र उन्हें श्रद्धा के साथ स्मरण कर रहा है।
इस मौके पर भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष बिनय कुमार लाल, सविंदर सिंह निर्मल, भूपन साहू, अनूप चंद्र अधिकारी, निर्मल गोयल, यशवंत सिंह, रामावत भगत, भाजयुमो जिलाध्यक्ष संदीप कुमार, सत्यनारायण पटेल, चेंबर अध्यक्ष राजेश सिंह, नगर अध्यक्ष बबलू वर्मा, विकास सिंह, रामेश्वरी उरांव, भोला चौधरी सहित कई पदाधिकारी एवं कार्यकर्ता मौजूद रहे।
कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य युवाओं और आम जनता को सरदार पटेल के विचारों एवं उनके राष्ट्रीय एकता संदेश से प्रेरित करना था।
