नदी के तेज बहाव में डूबा युवक, मवेशी को बचाने के दौरान गई जान

गुमला जिले के जारी अल्बर्ट एक्का थाना क्षेत्र में सोमवार की शाम एक दर्दनाक हादसा घटा। अपने मवेशी को नदी के गहरे पानी से बचाने की कोशिश में 27 वर्षीय युवक अनुप मिंज उर्फ डब्ल्यू (पिता – तरसियूस मिंज, निवासी सिंहपुर) की डूबने से मौत हो गई।

जानकारी के अनुसार, अनुप मिंज रोज की तरह शाम में अपने मवेशियों को चराकर घर लौट रहा था। इसी दौरान वह लावा नदी के किनारे मवेशियों को पानी पिला रहा था। उसी समय एक मवेशी गहरे पानी में चला गया और बहने लगा। उसे बचाने के लिए अनुप मिंज नदी में उतर गया और किसी तरह मवेशी को किनारे तक लाने में सफल रहा, लेकिन खुद तेज बहाव में फँस गया और गहरे पानी में डूब गया।

घटना के वक्त आसपास के खेतों में काम कर रहे ग्रामीणों ने युवक की आवाज सुनी और दौड़कर मौके पर पहुँचे, लेकिन तब तक देर हो चुकी थी। ग्रामीणों ने स्थानीय स्तर पर खोजबीन शुरू की और कुछ देर बाद अनुप मिंज को नदी से बाहर निकाला गया, परंतु उसकी मौत हो चुकी थी।

घटना की सूचना मिलते ही जारी थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुँची और शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए गुमला भेजा। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव को परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया।

ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि अनुप मिंज मेहनती और शांत स्वभाव का युवक था। उसकी असमय मौत से पूरे गाँव में शोक की लहर है।
