सारंडा जंगल से आए 18 हाथियों का झुंड गुमला जिले में प्रवेश, ग्रामीणों में दहशत – वन विभाग पर लापरवाही के आरोप

गुमला: गुमला जिले के भरनो प्रखंड क्षेत्र में सारंडा जंगल से भटककर आए 18 जंगली हाथियों का विशाल झुंड पहुँच गया है। गुरुवार देर रात यह झुंड जतरगड़ी–नदीटोला होते हुए सुपा गांव में प्रवेश कर गया, जिसके बाद पूरे क्षेत्र में दहशत और तनाव का माहौल बन गया है।

ग्रामीणों के अनुसार हाथियों की लगातार गर्जना और आवाज़ें सुनकर लोग सहमे हुए हैं। सुबह होते ही हाथियों को देखने के लिए आसपास के गांवों से बड़ी संख्या में बच्चे और ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुँच गए, जिससे भीड़ भी बढ़ गई है। ग्रामीणों ने आशंका जताई है कि भीड़ की वजह से हाथी कभी भी उग्र या आक्रामक हो सकते हैं, जिससे जानमाल का भारी नुकसान हो सकता है।

हर साल धान कटनी के समय लौटते हैं हाथी, फिर भी वन विभाग निष्क्रिय — ग्रामीणों का आरोप

ग्रामीणों ने वन विभाग पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि:

• हर साल धान कटनी के समय सारंडा जंगल से हाथियों के आने का पैटर्न बिल्कुल तय रहता है।
• हाथियों की मेमोरी पावर बहुत तेज होती है और वे अपने आने–जाने के सभी रास्ते याद रखते हैं।
• फिर भी विभाग हर बार “मुक्त दर्शक” बना रहता है और समय रहते कोई सुरक्षा या बचाव योजना नहीं बनाता।

ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि सूचना देने के बावजूद भी वन विभाग का सिर्फ एक ही जवाब होता है —
“नुकसान होगा तो मुआवजा दिया जाएगा।”

लोगों ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि कई बार मुआवजा राशि में भ्रष्टाचार होता है और सही लाभग्राही तक पूरी रकम नहीं पहुँचती।

वर्तमान स्थिति

फिलहाल हाथियों का यह 18 सदस्यीय झुंड मोरगांव मैदान के पिछले हिस्से में घूम रहा है। लोग बड़ी संख्या में हाथियों को देखने के लिए भीड़ जमा कर रहे हैं। कई बच्चे स्कूल छोड़कर मौके पर पहुँच रहे हैं, जिससे खतरा और बढ़ गया है।

अभी तक:

• किसी अप्रिय घटना की सूचना नहीं मिली है
• हाथियों ने किसी प्रकार की तोड़फोड़ नहीं की है

ग्रामीणों की मांग

ग्रामीणों ने स्थानीय प्रशासन से मांग की है कि:

• क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बढ़ाई जाए
• भीड़ को नियंत्रित किया जाए
• हाथियों के झुंड को सुरक्षित तरीके से गांव से बाहर ले जाने के लिए तुरंत विशेष टीम भेजी जाए

स्थिति पर वन विभाग की टीम की ओर से अब तक कोई सक्रिय समाधान नहीं दिखाई दे रहा है, जिससे लोगों में नाराज़गी बढ़ती जा रही है।
