18 हाथियों के झुण्ड एकाएक उग्र हो उठा और एक वृद्ध व्यक्ति को अपने सूड से पटक पटककर और अपने पैरों से कुचल कुचलकर मौत के घाट उतार दिया

गुमला ःः गुमला जिला अन्तर्गत स्थित भरनो प्रखण्ड के ग्रामीणों को जिसका डर और भय था, अतत: वही हुआ, भरनो प्रखण्ड स्थित जतरगडी, नदीटोली में उक्त हाथियों के झुंड को देखने गए मोरगाँव निवासी 55 वर्षीय ललकू उरांव नामक एक वृद्ध व्यक्ति को उक्त हाथियों के झुंड ने मार डाला, जिला वन विभाग की अर्कमन्यता और कार्यशिथिलता के कारण 18 हाथियों के झुण्ड ने एकाएक आक्रोशित होकर एक व्योवृद्धि व्यक्ति ललकू उराँव को सूंड से पटक पटक कर और पैरा से कुचल कुचलकर मार डाला, उक्त 18 हाँथियों के झुण्ड को भगाने की माँग और मुवावजा की माँग कर रहे हैं, ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, हाथियों का यह झुंड गुरुवार रात्रि में ही सुपा गांव के पास पहुंच चुका था। फिलहाल उक्त सूचना मिलने पर वन विभाग की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और हाथियों को सुरक्षित क्षेत्र में मोड़ने के उद्देश्य से उनकी निगरानी कर रही है।
साथ ही साथ उन्होंने भी उक्त हाथियों के एकाएक उग्र होने पर जान-माल के नुकसान होने की बातो से वह इंकार नहीं कर रहे हैं,

गुमला जिला प्रशासन, एंव संबंधित वन विभाग ने ग्रामीणों से अपील की है कि वे किसी भी परिस्थिति में जंगली हाथियों के करीब न जाएं और उनके साथ छेड़छाड़ न करें। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि हाथी के उग्र होने पर जान-माल का नुकसान हो सकता है। वन विभाग ने हाथी द्वारा किए गए किसी भी नुकसान की भरपाई का आश्वासन भी दिया है, फिलहाल उक्त हाथियों का झुंड मोरगांव मैदान के पीछे एक पथरीले इलाके में डेरा डाले हुए हैं और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में भरमनशील हैं, और धान कटाई का समय होने के कारण क्षेत्र के किसान विशेष रूप से चिंतित हैं। वर्तमान में हाथियों का झुंड मोरगांव मैदान के पीछे एक पथरीले इलाके में डेरा डाले हुए है, जहां उन्हें देखने के लिए सैकड़ों की संख्या में लोग उमड़ पड़े हैं। स्कूली बच्चे भी स्कूल छोड़कर हाथी देखने पहुंचते हैं , बताया जाता हैं की पिछले वर्ष भी भरनो प्रखंड में हाथियों का झुंड आया था

भरनो थाना प्रभारी कंचन प्रजापति भी पुलिस बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे और लोगों को समझाने का प्रयास किया। पिछले वर्ष भी भरनो प्रखंड में हाथियों का झुंड आया था और काफी उत्पात मचाया था, जिससे खेतों की फसलों के साथ-साथ जान-माल का भी नुकसान हुआ था। इस बार भी ऐसी आशंका से ग्रामीणों की चिंता बढ़ गई है।

स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि रात के समय जंगली हाथी अधिक उग्र होते हैं और तेजी से विचरण करते हैं। उन्होंने वन विभाग की टीम से साथ रहने और ग्रामीणों को पटाखे और टॉर्च वितरित करने की अपील की, ताकि रात में सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके। उन्हें रात कैसे कटेगी, इसकी चिंता सता रही है।
