69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूली गतका प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड के वेदांत ने दिलाया कांस्य पदक

स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद, रांची के तत्वावधान में राज्य के खिलाड़ी लगातार राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं।इस क्रम में
लुधियाना गई गतका टीम ने 69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूली गतका प्रतियोगिता के अंडर–19 बालक वर्ग में शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। यह प्रतियोगिता 6 से 11 जनवरी 2026 तक पंजाब के लुधियाना स्थित पंजाब एग्रीकल्चर यूनिवर्सिटी ओपन थियेटर में आयोजित की गई, जिसमें झारखंड के खिलाड़ी वेदांत भारद्वाज ने फरी सोटी इंडिविजुअल इवेंट में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हुए कांस्य पदक अपने नाम किया।
वेदांत भारद्वाज ने प्रतियोगिता के नॉकआउट राउंड में छत्तीसगढ़ को 63–59 से पराजित कर क्वार्टर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया। इसके बाद क्वार्टर फाइनल मुकाबले में तेलंगाना को 57–42 से हराते हुए सेमीफाइनल में जगह बनाई। सेमीफाइनल में वेदांत का मुकाबला जम्मू एवं कश्मीर के खिलाड़ी से हुआ, जिसमें उन्हें 82–65 के अंतर से हार का सामना करना पड़ा।
इसके पश्चात कांस्य पदक (तीसरे स्थान) के लिए हुए मुकाबले में वेदांत भारद्वाज ने मेजबान पंजाब को 42–35 से पराजित करते हुए झारखंड राज्य के लिए कांस्य पदक सुनिश्चित किया। प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड टीम के कोच पप्पू कुमार सिंह एवं टीम एच.ओ.डी. एम. मोदस्सर की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही, जिनके मार्गदर्शन में खिलाड़ियों ने बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन किया।
इस उपलब्धि पर माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री हेमंत सोरेन, शिक्षा सचिव श्री उमाशंकर सिंह, परियोजना निदेशक श्री शशि रंजन, प्रशासी पदाधिकारी श्री सच्चिदानंद द्विवेदी तिग्गा, राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी श्री धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग तथा राज्य खेल कोषांग के सदस्यों ने वेदांत भारद्वाज को बधाई देते हुए उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की है।
