झारखंड की मेजबानी में 13 जनवरी से शुरू होगी 69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूली शतरंज एवं साइक्लिंग प्रतियोगिता

स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद की मेजबानी में 13 जनवरी से 17 जनवरी 2026 तक 69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूली शतरंज एवं साइक्लिंग (रोड एवं ट्रैक) प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।
शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में अंडर–14 आयु वर्ग के बालक एवं बालिका वर्ग में देशभर के 31 राज्यों एवं इकाइयों से कुल 301 खिलाड़ी तथा 121 कोच एवं मैनेजर भाग ले रहे हैं।
वहीं साइक्लिंग रोड प्रतियोगिता में अंडर–14, 17 एवं 19 आयु वर्ग के बालक एवं बालिका वर्ग में 20 राज्यों एवं इकाइयों से 399 खिलाड़ी तथा 230 कोच एवं मैनेजर भाग लेंगे, जबकि साइक्लिंग ट्रैक प्रतियोगिता में 16 राज्यों एवं इकाइयों से 319 खिलाड़ी एवं 176 कोच एवं मैनेजर प्रतिभाग कर रहे हैं।
प्रतियोगिता के लिए टीमों का आगमन 11 जनवरी से प्रारंभ हो गया था। सभी टीमों का स्वागत रांची रेलवे स्टेशन, हटिया रेलवे स्टेशन तथा बिरसा मुंडा हवाई अड्डा पर झारखंडी संस्कृति के अनुरूप पढ़िया (गमछा) पहनाकर किया गया।
आज दोनों प्रतियोगिताओं के सभी खिलाड़ियों का पंजीयन खेलगांव स्थित वीवीआईपी प्रवेश द्वार के हॉल में किया जा रहा है। साथ ही एसजीएफआई के फील्ड ऑफिसर की देखरेख में सभी खिलाड़ियों का बायोमीट्रिक वेरिफिकेशन भी किया जा रहा है।
साइक्लिंग रोड प्रतियोगिता 13 एवं 14 जनवरी को रिंग रोड स्थित विकास नेवरी से तुरूप प्लाजा लूप मार्ग पर आयोजित होगी। जबकि साइक्लिंग ट्रैक प्रतियोगिता 15 से 17 जनवरी तक खेलगांव स्थित सिंधु कान्हु वेलोड्रम स्टेडियम में संपन्न होगी। वहीं शतरंज प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन ताना भगत इंडोर स्टेडियम, खेलगांव में किया जाएगा।
प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने आए रोड साइक्लिंग के खिलाड़ियों ने आज संध्या रिंग रोड नेवरी क्षेत्र में अभ्यास भी किया, जिससे यह स्पष्ट होता है कि देशभर से आए खिलाड़ी अपने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन को लेकर कितने उत्साहित हैं।
आयोजन सचिव धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग ने बताया कि प्रतियोगिता की सभी तैयारियाँ पूरी कर ली गई हैं। खिलाड़ियों एवं कोच-मैनेजरों के आवासन, भोजन, चिकित्सा, परिवहन तथा सुरक्षा की उत्तम व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की गई है।
