69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्कूली ताइक्वांडो प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड की होनहार खिलाड़ी अनुष्का कुमारी ने अंडर–14 बालिका वर्ग के 38 किलोग्राम से अधिक भारवर्ग में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए राज्य को कांस्य पदक दिलाया।
झारखंड की यह ताइक्वांडो टीम स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद, रांची की अगुवाई में इस राष्ट्रीय स्कूली प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया है। यह प्रतियोगिता पंजाब के लुधियाना स्थित जी.एस.एस.एस.एस. हॉल में 6 जनवरी से 11 जनवरी तक आयोजित की गई।
अनुष्का ने अपने पहले मुकाबले में तमिलनाडु की खिलाड़ी को 2-0 से पराजित कर विजयी शुरुआत की। इसके बाद दूसरे राउंड में उत्तराखंड को 2-0 से मात दी। क्वार्टर फाइनल में दिल्ली की खिलाड़ी को भी 2-0 से हराकर सेमीफाइनल में प्रवेश किया और राज्य के लिए पदक सुनिश्चित किया। सेमीफाइनल में सी.बी.एस.ई. की खिलाड़ी के साथ कड़े मुकाबले में अंतिम क्षणों में 1-2 से पराजित होकर अनुष्का ने कांस्य पदक पर कब्जा जमाया।
राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग ने खुशी जाहिर करते हुवे कहा कि अनुष्का कुमारी की यह उपलब्धि न केवल झारखंड बल्कि राज्य की हजारों बालिकाओं के लिए प्रेरणा है निरंतर अभ्यास, आत्मविश्वास और दृढ़ संकल्प से राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सफलता हासिल की जा सकती है। इस उपलब्धि में राज्य टीम के कोच रमेश गिरी, मैनेजर क्वीन ठाकुर तथा एच.ओ.डी. एम. मोदस्सर का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा। इस सफलता पर राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री हेमंत सोरेन, शिक्षा सचिव उमाशंकर सिंह, परियोजना निदेशक शशि रंजन, प्रशासी पदाधिकारी सच्चिदानंद द्विवेदी तिग्गा, राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग सहित राज्य खेल कोषांग के सदस्यों ने अनुष्का कुमारी को बधाई देते हुए उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की है।
