गुमला में महामाया मंदिर परिसर में मंडा मेला का भव्य आयोजन, श्रद्धा और तपस्या का अनूठा संगम

गुमला (झारखंड): जिले के घाघरा प्रखंड स्थित हापामुनी गांव में स्थित माँ महामाया मंदिर परिसर में पारंपरिक मंडा मेला का भव्य आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान भगवान शिव के भक्तों ने भक्ति गीतों की धुन पर बांस के झूलों में झूलते हुए अपनी आस्था का प्रदर्शन किया। साथ ही, भक्तों ने दहकते अंगारों पर नंगे पैर चलकर कठिन परीक्षा दी, जिसे स्थानीय भाषा में फूलखुंडी (फूल खुंडि) कहा जाता है।

ऐतिहासिक और रहस्यमयी है महामाया मंदिर

हापामुनी गांव का यह प्राचीन मंदिर लगभग 1100 वर्ष से भी अधिक पुराना माना जाता है। इसका निर्माण 908 ईस्वी (विक्रम संवत 965) में नागवंशी राजा गजघंट राय द्वारा कराया गया था। यह मंदिर अपनी अद्भुत मान्यताओं और रहस्यमयी विशेषताओं के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।

मंदिर से जुड़ी मान्यताएं और विशेषताएं

पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, उस समय क्षेत्र में भूत-प्रेतों का उपद्रव बढ़ गया था, जिससे मुक्ति पाने के लिए माँ महामाया की पूजा कर इस मंदिर की स्थापना की गई। मंदिर का मुख्य द्वार पश्चिम दिशा की ओर है, जो एक अनोखी विशेषता है। मान्यता है कि माँ महामाया की शक्ति से ही मंदिर का द्वार पूर्व से पश्चिम की ओर परिवर्तित हुआ था, जिससे आक्रमणकारी भयभीत होकर भाग गए।

एक अन्य मान्यता के अनुसार, मंदिर के पुजारी आज भी आँखों पर पट्टी बांधकर पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं, क्योंकि माँ के प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन को अत्यंत शक्तिशाली माना जाता है।

डोल जतरा और धार्मिक परंपरा

यहां चैत कृष्ण पक्ष की प्रतिपदा को डोल जतरा का आयोजन होता है, जो इस क्षेत्र की प्रमुख धार्मिक परंपराओं में से एक है। मंदिर की देखरेख की जिम्मेदारी स्थापना काल में राजा द्वारा अपने गुरु हरिनाथ (मराठी ब्राह्मण) को सौंपी गई थी, जो यहां के प्रथम पुजारी बने।

मंडा मेला: आस्था और तपस्या का पर्व

मंडा मेला केवल एक उत्सव नहीं, बल्कि कठोर तपस्या और श्रद्धा का प्रतीक है। इसमें भाग लेने वाले भोक्ता पांच दिनों तक कड़े धार्मिक नियमों का पालन करते हैं, जिसमें निराहार रहना और भूमि पर शयन करना शामिल है।

मेले का मुख्य आकर्षण फुलसुंदी अनुष्ठान रहा, जिसमें शिव भक्तों ने जलते अंगारों पर नंगे पैर चलकर अपनी अटूट आस्था का परिचय दिया। इसके बाद झूलन कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुआ, जिसमें भक्तों को बांस और लकड़ी के ऊंचे खंभों के सहारे लटकाकर घुमाया गया।

उमड़ा जनसैलाब, गूंजे जयकारे

“हर हर महादेव” और “ऊँ नमः शिवाय” के जयकारों से पूरा क्षेत्र भक्तिमय हो उठा। नगर भ्रमण के दौरान सड़कों के दोनों ओर श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी। जगह-जगह स्थानीय लोगों और सामाजिक संगठनों द्वारा श्रद्धालुओं के लिए फल और शीतल पेय की व्यवस्था की गई।

इस अलौकिक दृश्य को देखने के लिए गुमला, लोहरदगा, लातेहार, रांची, खूंटी समेत पड़ोसी राज्यों से भी बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु पहुंचे।

आयोजन में अहम भूमिका

मेला समिति के सदस्यों—अनुरुद्ध चौबे, आदित्य भगत, राजेश मणि पाठक, निलेश मणि पाठक, बिंदेश्वर साहू, सुरेंद्र साहू और प्रधान उरांव सहित अन्य लोगों ने कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया।

मंडा मेला छोटानागपुर की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का अभिन्न हिस्सा है, जो आज भी अपनी परंपराओं और आस्था के साथ जीवंत है।
