गुमला पुलिस निरीक्षक सह गुमला थाना प्रभारी महेंद्र कुमार करमाली ने एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस आयोजित कर बताया कि गुमला थाना कांड सं0-133/2026, दिनांक-11.04.2026 धारा- 70 (2), 351(2) BNS, 4/6 Posco Act.
दिनांक- 11.04.2026 के दोपहर करीब 12.00 बजे सूचना मिली कि टोटो क्षेत्र अंतर्गत ग्राम-किता में एक
नाबालिक लड़की जो अपने गांव में सरहुल मनाने के बाद सुबह करीब 04.00 बजे अपने घर आ रही थी
तभी गांव के ही तीन लडके के द्वारा उक्त नाबालिक लडकी को जंगल डांड में ले जाकर पीडिता के इच्छा के विरुद्ध सामूहिक दुष्कर्म किया
गया। इस संबंध में पीड़िता के मां के द्वारा दिये गये लिखित आवेदन के आधार पर गुमला थाना में कांड में
दर्ज किया गया। कांड का अग्रतर अनुसधान, अभियुक्तों की गिरफ्तारी हेतु पुलिस अधीक्षक ( गुमला पुलिस कप्तान हरिश बिन जामां ) महोदय, गुमला के द्वारा त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए मेरे (पुलिस निरीक्षक-सह-थाना प्रभारी गुमला के ) नेतृत्व में एक छापामारी दल का गठन किया गया एवं घटनास्थल का जांच हेतु फॉरेसिंक टीम को रांची से बुलाया गया। छापामारी दल के द्वारा उक्त कांड में त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए कांड के प्राथमिकी अभियुक्तों 1. प्रदीप तुरी उम्र 24 वर्ष पिता सुकरा तुरी 2. सुरेश उरांव उम्र 22 वर्ष पिता सुखराम उरांव तथा 3. मुकेश लोहरा उम्र 29 वर्ष पिता-फगुआ लोहरा तीनों के पता-ग्राम-किता, पोस्ट-कोटाम, थाना जिला-गुमला को किता स्थित जंगल डांड से गिरफ्तार किया गया।
घटनास्थल पर फॉरेसिंक टीम के द्वारा जांच किया गया एवं पीड़िता एवं गिरफ्तार अभियुक्तों का सदर
अस्पताल गुमला में मेडिकल जांच कराया गया। गिरफ्तार अभियुक्तों को माननीय न्यायालय गुमला में
उपस्थापन किया जा रहा है।
गिरफ्तार अभियुक्तों का नाम –
प्रदीप तुरी उम्र 24 वर्ष पिता सुकरा तुरी पता-ग्राम-किता, पोस्ट-कोटाम, थाना+जिला-गुमला।
सुरेश उरांव उम्र 22 वर्ष पिता सुखराम उरांव पता-ग्राम-किता, पोस्ट-कोटाम, थाना+जिला-गुमला।
मुकेश लोहरा उम्र- 29 वर्ष पिता-फगुआ लोहरा पता-ग्राम-किता, पोस्ट-कोटाम, थाना जिला-गुमला।

. कुंदन कुमार सिंह पु०अ०नि० गुमला थाना (टोटो)
. चन्द्रशेखर नायक स०अ०नि० गुमला थाना (टोटो)
मंगल टुड्डू स०अ०नि० गुमला थाना (टोटो) तथा सशस्त्र बल गुमला थाना (टोटो) उक्त अभियान में सम्मिलित थे l
