खाद्य पदार्थ में मिलावट और तंबाकू एवं तंबाकू उत्पाद कारोबारी पर प्रशासन की नजर, सिसई-भरनो में चला विशेष जांच अभियान

गुमला : – गुमला उपायुक्त एवं अभिहित अधिकारी-सह-अपर मुख्य चिकित्सा पदाधिकारी गुमला के संयुक्त निर्देश एवं मार्गदर्शन पर जनस्वास्थ्य की सुरक्षा एवं खाद्य पदार्थों की गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से सिसई एवं भरनो क्षेत्र में खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग तथा तंबाकू निषेध टीम द्वारा संयुक्त विशेष जांच एवं जागरूकता अभियान चलाया गया, उक्त अभियान में खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी एवं तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो शामिल थे ।

अभियान के दौरान विभिन्न खाद्य प्रतिष्ठानों, किराना दुकानों, होटल, मिठाई दुकानों तथा थोक एवं खुदरा विक्रेताओं का निरीक्षण किया गया। जांच में खाद्य पदार्थों की गुणवत्ता, स्वच्छता, सुरक्षित भंडारण, लाइसेंस, पंजीकरण, एक्सपायरी तिथि एवं लेबलिंग मानकों की जांच की गई। निरीक्षण के क्रम में कुछ खाद्य पदार्थों में स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक औद्योगिक रंगों के उपयोग की जानकारी मिलने पर संबंधित सामग्री को मौके पर ही नष्ट कराया गया। साथ ही दुकानदारों को खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक अधिनियम, 2006 के प्रावधानों की जानकारी देते हुए भविष्य में ऐसी अनियमितता नहीं करने की चेतावनी दी गई।

तंबाकू निषेध टीम ने भी क्षेत्र के सार्वजनिक स्थलों एवं दुकानों का निरीक्षण किया। विशेष रूप से विद्यालयों एवं शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के आसपास निगरानी रखते हुए दुकानदारों को कोटपा अधिनियम, 2003 एवं संशोधित अधिनियम 2021 के बारे में जानकारी दी गई, जिसके तहत किसी भी शैक्षणिक संस्थान के 100 मीटर के दायरे में तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री प्रतिबंधित है। दुकानदारों को चेतावनी बोर्ड लगाने तथा कानून का पालन सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया गया।

निरीक्षण के दौरान सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर धूम्रपान निषेध नियमों एवं तंबाकू उत्पादों के प्रदर्शन से संबंधित प्रावधानों की भी जांच की गई। नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले तीन प्रतिष्ठानों पर कुल 900 रुपये का अर्थदंड लगाया गया। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि बच्चों एवं युवाओं को तंबाकू के दुष्प्रभावों से बचाने के लिए स्कूलों के आसपास विशेष निगरानी अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेगा।

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि सुरक्षित खाद्य पदार्थों की उपलब्धता, खाद्य मिलावट पर रोक तथा तंबाकू नियंत्रण कानूनों के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए जिले में नियमित रूप से ऐसे संयुक्त अभियान चलाए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने आम नागरिकों से भी अपील की कि खाद्य मिलावट अथवा तंबाकू नियमों के उल्लंघन की सूचना संबंधित विभाग को दें, ताकि समय पर आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जा सके।

अधिकारियों ने कहा कि जनस्वास्थ्य के हित में भविष्य में भी इस प्रकार की कार्रवाई लगातार जारी रहेगी।
