Gumla: गुमला जिला मुख्यालय समेत पूरे जिले में 17 सितंबर को भगवान विश्वकर्मा जयंती का त्योहार धूमधाम से मनाया गया। अलग-अलग स्थानों पर आकर्षक पूजा पंडाल बनाए गए, जहां भगवान विश्वकर्मा की विभिन्न आकार-प्रकार की प्रतिमाएं स्थापित की गईं। पंडालों को विद्युत सज्जा, LED लाइट और लेजर लाइट से सजाया गया। पूजा-अर्चना के बाद श्रद्धालुओं के बीच प्रसाद का वितरण भी किया गया।

भगवान विश्वकर्मा को भारतीय परंपरा में देवशिल्पी, वास्तुकार और सृजन-कौशल के अधिष्ठाता के रूप में स्मरण किया जाता है। हर वर्ष 17 सितंबर को मनाई जाने वाली विश्वकर्मा जयंती इसी सृजन और कौशल के प्रति सम्मान का अवसर मानी जाती है।

औजारों और मशीनों की पूजा के साथ श्रम का सम्मान

विश्वकर्मा पूजा के दौरान औजारों, मशीनों, उपकरणों, कारखानों और कार्यस्थलों की पूजा करने की परंपरा है। इसे केवल धार्मिक परंपरा के तौर पर ही नहीं, बल्कि उस श्रम-संस्कृति के सम्मान के रूप में भी देखा जाता है, जिसके जरिए समाज और देश के विकास की नींव तैयार होती है।
