3. Thappad

The motion picture was released in 2020. In the film, Shahrukh plays NASA scientist Mohan Bhargav, who travels to India in search of Kaveri, his nanny. When he arrives at the village, he is horrified by the quality of life there and progressively decides to take issues into his own hands, among other things by delivering electricity to the community.
