Imran Khan has written a lengthy blog post about his 2013 movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara in which he also gave praise to his co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar. On Saturday, Imran shared on Instagram that he “took a lot of styling cues from Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor.” In the post’s comment section, he also addressed his supporters and trolls.
Imran uploaded a number of images from the movie’s set. He was seated on a bike and was focused on the camera in the first picture. In the second picture, you can see him clutching Sonakshi Sinha’s hand. In the third image, he and Akshay Kumar were in an action scene. Imran, Sonakshi, and Akshay were seen standing next to a little plane in the final image, a BTS from the sets. Each of them was wearing a white T-shirt with the words “Once Upon A Time in IPL” on it. They stared at the camera while holding hands and grinned.
Imran discusses the movie
He shared the images and captioned them, “Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai.” Dobaara was a difficult movie to understand (if you don’t believe me, zoom in on the poster). While the protagonists are gangsters, the plot is fully driven by the love story, not police and robbers stuff. Despite being seen and marketed as a gangster movie, I had always considered it as a tragic romance. Anil Kapoor (Mashaal) and Jackie Shroff (Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri) in their 1980s best inspired me much in terms of styling because I was so enthused about the throwback feel of the movie. I tried to look real by growing out my sideburns and moustache, but it was unsuccessful.
Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is another subject Imran discusses
Additionally, he remarked, “While I had originally planned to finish filming this movie in January 2013 and start filming Gori Tere Pyaar Mein the following month, schedules ended up running late and we were still on set filming scenes two weeks before the movie’s premiere! This required me to shave and get a haircut so I could start GTPM and finish the rest of OUATIM with hair extensions, artificial sideburns, and a glued-on moustache. I had to get a haircut after recording roughly 30% of my sequences. Now that you’re searching for it, it’s simple to capture.
Imran gives appreciation. Akshay and Sonakshi
“The movie wasn’t well received when it came out, and I took the bulk of the blame, but that didn’t change how much I cared for my coworkers. The strongest person I’ve ever met in real life, @akshaykumar was the epitome of movie star cool. His forearms are really as thick as my calves. And I’ve always adored @aslisona. As an actor, you are fearless, uncontrolled, and completely lacking in self-importance,” he said.
One follower responded to the post by saying, “Please return already! Imran, I really miss your films. Get a handle on it, someone responded in response. He’s still a terrible actor, and he can’t act. Why are you sticking with a loser like me, Imran questioned?
