गुमला – गुमला पुलिस कप्तान हरविंदर सिंह से नवनियुक्त – गुमला पुलिस कप्तान शंभू कुमार सिंह ने संभाला कमान, उन्होंने कहा की फिलहाल हमारे सामने ज्वलंत मुद्दों में से एक मुद्दा हैं , आगामी लोकसभा ( आम ) चुनाव 2024 हैं , के निमित्त गुमला जिले में निर्भीक एवं निष्पक्ष , शांतिपूर्ण , सुरक्षित और सफलतापूर्वक चुनाव संपन्न कराना ही हमारा मुख्य उद्देश्य हैं , इसके अलावा जिले की आम नागरिकों और पुलिस के बीच मधुर संबंध स्थापित करते हुए , जिले की समस्त आम जनताओं में पुलिस के प्रति विश्वास पैदा करते हुए , उन्हें सुरक्षा प्रदान करना भी पुलिस का ही दायित्व है , गुमला के नवनियुक्त पुलिस कप्तान शंभू कुमार सिंह ने गुमला जिले की भौगोलिक स्थिति , मध्य प्रदेश , छत्तीसगढ़ , उड़ीसा आदि से लगने वाले , प्रमुख और संवेदनशील झारखंड बॉर्डर क्षेत्रों , सहित अति नक्सल प्रभावित क्षेत्रों एवं नक्सलियों की गतिविधियों की जानकारी ली , साथ ही साथ उन्होंने गुमला जिले में पदस्थापित समस्त एस . डी .पी . ओ . समस्त सर्किल इंस्पेक्टर और समस्त थाना प्रभारियों के साथ अति आवश्यक बैठक की और आवश्यक दिशा निर्देश देते हुए उन्होंने संबंधित सभी पदाधिकारियों को 24 धन्टे अलर्ट रहते हुए अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों में पर्याप्त गस्ती दल बनाकर समस्त छोटी बड़ी वाहनों की संघन्य जांच पड़ताल करनी है , ताकि झारखण्ड जिले के बॉर्डर क्षेत्र में प्रवेश द्वार के रूप में , प्रवेश करने वाले क्षेत्रों पर विशेष निगरानी रखते हुए और अंतर राज्य बॉर्डर क्षेत्रों से नशीले पदार्थ स्मैक , हीरोइन , अफ़ीम गांजा-भांग, गोतस्करों आदि से निपटने के लिए पुख्ते इंतजाम करते हुए , उक्त संबंधित अवैध धंधे में लिप्त और प्रतिबंधित अवैध कारोबारियों , व्यापारियों तस्करों , अपराधिक गतिविधियों में लिप्त कुख्यात अपराधियों, न्यायालय से बेल पर छूटे कुख्यात बदमाश , कुख्यात अपराधियों , कुख्यात वारंटियों और तथाकथित, नेताओं , समाजसेवियों और कार्यकर्ताओं के रूप में छद्म वेशभूषा अपने वाले व्यक्तियों , नक्सलियों , उग्रवादियों आदि पर अंकुश लगाने हेतु गिद्ध दृष्टि रखते हुए उनकी हर गतिविधियों पर नजर रखते हुए , उनकी पहचान कर चिन्हित करना और उनके उपर सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई करते हुयें उन पर अंकुश लगाना हैं , ताकि समय-समय पर होने वाले विभिन्न आकार प्रकार के अपराधिक घटनाओं की पूर्णवृत्ति ना हो , अन्ततः सही समय पर और सही दिशा में कार्य करते हुए पुलिस को सफलताएं मिलती ही है और अन्ततः पुलिस की हांथ उक्त कुख्यात बदमाशों और कुख्यात अपराधियों के गिरेबान तक पहुंच ही जाती हैं और अंततः शातिर से शातिर कुख्यात बदमाश और कुख्यात अपराधकर्मी भी सलाखों के पीछे होते हैं ।
