गुमला – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत चैनपुर थाना स्थित कतारीकोना के नैयकाडांड जंगल से चैनपुर थाना पुलिस ने एक बरगद के पेड़ से , चैनपुर थाना स्थित कतारीकोना निवासी 27 वर्षीय बसंती असुर ( पति – बीरबल असुर ) का दुर्गंध युक्त सड़ा-गला शव साड़ी के फंदे से लटका बरामद किया गया है ।
मृतक का पति बीरबल असुर ने बताया की मेरी पत्नी जिनकी दिमागी हालत ठीक नहीं थी और वह गत 25 मार्च के दिन में लगभग दो बजे के बाद से ,वह रहस्यमय परिस्थितियों में एकाएक घर से बीना बोलें गायब हो गई, गुरुवार को गांव की एक महिला जब उक्त जंगल में लकड़ी काटने गई हुई थी , जिसने उसे बरगद के एक पेड़ में फंदें से लटका देखा और जंगल से देर रात्रि में वापस आकर , उक्त घटना के संबंध में, गांव वालों को बतायी , और शनिवार को उक्त घटना की सूचना चैनपुर थाना पुलिस को दी गई, सूचना मिलते ही चैनपुर थाना पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुयें उक्त घटनास्थल नैयकाड़ाड़ जंगल में दलबल के साथ पहुंचकर चैनपुर थाना प्रभारी अजय यादव ने उक्त शव को उक्त बरगद पेड़ से उतरवाया और उक्त शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम हेतु गुमला सदर अस्पताल स्थित पोस्टमार्टम हाउस गुमला भेजवाया गया , जहां पोस्टमार्टम के बाद उक्त शव को उसके परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया हैं , थाना प्रभारी ने बताया कि प्रथम दृश्य , उक्त घटना आत्महत्या का प्रतीत होता है , फिर भी पोस्टमार्टम के बाद और पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट के बाद ही कुछ कहा जा सकता है, पुलिस सभी पहलुओं पर गहराई से पूछताछ और छानबीन शुरू कर दी है।
